I had promised that I will give Rs 1,000 to every woman. This proposal was passed in the cabinet meeting chaired by Atishi this morning. Now this scheme has been implemented in Delhi... Elections will be announced in 10-15 days, so it is not possible to transfer money to the account right now. Some women said that Rs 1000 will not be enough due to inflation. JP Nadda ji and Jitendra Singh from the government had come here yesterday. Before that, 16 MPs visited here, and 65 MPs from the Opposition have given written assurance that this issue will be discussed in Parliament. The govt and the Opposition have decided that discussion on education reforms will take place in this Monsoon session. This has awakened the whole nation. His wife is here and they are allowing her. I asked them why they have kept him here, we were told that he is showing potassium deficiency. I had taken his blood sample at 3 pm yesterday and potassium was normal at that time. It was 4.8, higher than the normal value of 3.5. Now, they are saying the value has dropped. When his wife is asking for a report, they are not giving one to her. This is suspicious, so I am collecting his blood and taking it for a report. I will present the report to you. We do not trust the Govt lab. His wife has given it in writing to the Govt hospital that he be discharged from here at the earliest and we be permitted to take him to another hospital. His wife has said that the march to Parliament on 20th July will go on as decided and Sir too will be a part of it but if he doesn't come his wife will join it..."

News on Ben Casparius & Alex Freeland. Both have been optioned down, but neither is going to lose an option year. As Alex Freedman, the AAA Comets PxP, describes in the video below, each player gets 3 option years before they can no longer be sent down to the Minor Leagues. A player has to spend at least 20 days in the Minor Leagues for it to be considered an option year. And, that time has to be AFTER they have had their contract selected and added to the 40-man roster. So, the time Alex Freeland spent BEFORE his contract was selected this year does NOT count towards his 20 days. He was optioned down on September 6th, so he will NOT reach his 20 days, and will still have ALL 3 option years remaining. So will Ben Casparius! Sucks for the player, good for the org., because those types of situations are, many times, the determining factors of decisions that are made. A California police department isn't releasing the mugshot of a criminal who’s been evading police on multiple arrest attempts ABC Los Angeles even puts a smiley face emoji over his face in the body cam footage to hide his identity… They don’t want you to see he’s black Monrovia police in California have been trying to catch a fugitive wanted on a no bail warrant for felony probation violation He’s been able to escape 2 times from officers. The officers who have been trying to catch him were eating at Panda Express when the fugitive walked in “Monrovia Police say the third time's the charm. A wanted man did not get away this time. He literally walked into the Panda Express where police officers who had been searching for him were eating” There is footage of the multiple other times he was able to get away and all he did was run away…. There is no reason it should have taken 3 separate attempts to catch him No media outlets will report his original come, I’ve looked… and the police are refusing to release his mugshot…. There was no need for this Bill to be linked with the delimitation exercise. Knowing fully well that if 2011's census or latest census becomes the basis for delimitation, southern India will lose out heavily. Modi Govt introduced this Bill, which they knew very well, will not be able to get the 2/3rd majority that is required for a Constitutional amendment. Therefore, we as BRS, certainly express our deep concern and deep protest with respect to stifling the voice of southern India in the Parliament. We request and demand the Union Govt to fulfill the promise given to the women of this country because the Bill was already passed in 2023 with respect to women's reservation. If you have to do it, you can do with the 543 at present. All that we would like to tell you is make sure that the 24% seats that the south of India today has in the Parliament is kept intact. If that is not kept intact, this will lead to severe protest and resentment from the people of south India who have contributed to this nation in a big way..."

#WATCH | On #IPL2025 final venue changed from Eden Gardens in Kolkata to Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, BCCI Vice-President Rajeev Shukla says, "People should not look for any politics here, the matches that have been shifted. This decision was not politically motivated. Had the IPL been held on its schedule, had there not been an India-Pakistan conflict and had IPL not been postponed for a week, then final would have been held on 25th May in Kolkata itself and the playoffs in Hyderabad. After the schedule was changed, the weather conditions started having an impact. Broadcaster too said that the weather in Kolkata is predicted to be bad on the said days, there is likely to be rainfall, the match can be washed out and they would suffer heavy losses. They requested a venue where the rainfall is less likely. All the venues, including Delhi, Lucknow, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chandigarh and Ahmedabad. Through weather reports, it was found that the rainfall was less likely in Chandigarh and Ahmedabad. So, the matches were rescheduled, from Hyderabad too. It was not just about Kolkata. We had to change venue many times in the past as well. So, this is nothing new...So, there is no political conspiracy here...Inaugural ceremony was held in Kolkata..."

Ed Johnson, election integrity expert, alerts me to a danger to the implementation of the Texas redistricting plan and election integrity. He discovered an amendment slipped thru the regular session that allows voters to move their registration within counties on election day, enabling organized efforts to swamp one district with voters from another in the big counties to game redistricting. He met with Greg Abbott yesterday to discuss the problem and to discuss adding a solution to the problem to this second special session. The video below shows State Rep Matt Shaheen adding this problematic language on May 28. Note the pleased reaction of Dem Reps Erin Zweiner and John Bucy in the video. The offending language added a new section to Election Code 15.025: "(e) A voter’s registration takes effect immediately upon the registrar’s receipt of a notice of the voter’s change of address submitted under Section 15.021, Section 63.0011, Section 15.053, or Chapter 20 if the voter changes residence within the same county as the voter’s current registration address." Before I heard about this problem, I have said that I think the evidence shows that the price extracted from the Burrows Uniparty Team for the Dems putting him into power this session was the gutting of election integrity laws. I think this more evidence of cooperation between the Dems and the Burrows team to thwart election integrity. If you agree that this issue needs to be fixed, use this link, I urge you to contact the governor's office, urging him to add a fix for this same day registration problem to the special session call. This is the text I used in my submission: Please add to the second special session call: Legislation that will not allow any immediate effect of voter registration within 30 days of an election. Specifically, Texas Election Code 15.025(e) that was added as an amendment to 89th SB 2217 needs to be deleted. *** BTW, note that no one snapped to the problem as the amendment was introduced at the end of a very long session in the hard slog in consideration of lots of bills. I am not sure I would have, either. I thank Ed Johnson for this catch and his efforts to rectify it.

For the past five years, I have fought to pass legislation that would allow judges to keep those charged with the most violent offenses behind bars without bail until their trial. The two migrants that recently entered the U.S. and are now charged with the murder of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray are perfect examples of when bail should be denied. Since they are charged with capital murder, current law would allow that, and we will be watching to see what the judge does in this case. DOES ANYONE REASONABLY THINK THEY SHOULD BE RELEASED BACK INTO THE COMMUNITY BEFORE TRIAL? To those who worked to block my bail reform legislation from becoming law, you are compromising the safety of your fellow Texans, plain and simple. Despite passing my bills multiple times out of the Texas Senate with bipartisan support (including support from then-Senator and now Mayor John Whitmire), this important legislation was thwarted every time by a cadre of legislators who prioritize defending dangerous individuals over standing up for victims of violent crime and the community at large. Giving judges the ability to deny bail for the most violent offenders will remain a priority for me next session. We must get this passed. #txlege

How can this be possible?...I come from Guajrat, Nirmala Sitharanan from Tamil Nadu. How can we oppose this? What are you saying? We have worked for languages...I would like to tell Tamil Nadu Government - we have been saying for two years that you do not have the courage to translate medical and engineering study material into Tamil...You cannot do this. When an NDA govt comes to power (in Tamil Nadu), we will provide medical and engineering course in Tamil, in Tamil Nadu. A gas crisis is hitting Britain According to the Daily Mail, Britain's natural gas reserves are only enough for two days: According to new data published by National Gas, Britain's gas reserves have dropped from 18,000 GWh last year to 6,700 GWh, which is enough for only 1.5 days of consumption. A similar amount of gas is stored in the form of liquefied natural gas (LNG)...[...] Traders are taking advantage of the situation in Britain, setting exorbitant gas prices, knowing that the country has no other choice but to outbid the offers of European competitors.
