As soon as the video started, the rap version played in my head. Remember this commercial well.

Alright I hear can I find this collection online? Need this for my voicemail

Nothing like calling to let someone know of the death of a loved one and hear "Wait for the beep, you gotta leave your name, you gotta leave your number! WAIT FOR THE BEEP!

$14.95 (+ shipping and handling)- that's like $1000 in today's money!

Humorous answering machine greetings are a lost art. Today, you're most likely to hear, "You have reached a number with a voice mailbox that has not been set up. Goodbye."

🤣 Ah memories.

memory is strange, I can't remember what I did yesterday but I still know the words to these damn songs lol

Who's old enough to remember these. I always got a kick outta the rap song as a kid

These are funny. Why did we stop doing this?

1988 energy on full blast 😂 Those answering machine greetings are pure nostalgia—so awkward, so iconic!

This was the 90s version. Everyone had this on their answering machine in 1991-92

I remember my dad and I laughing at this commercial.

Oh. My. God. I remember this commercial!

@fuhrmaro Believe it or not .,

@GrownManRN

$14.95! I wouldn’t pay that in today’s dollars

@GeneTakovic_ @grok

I had this tape. Wish I still had this tape.

Still plays in my head to this day

my parents had this 😂😂😂 why do i still know all the words

@mjgigli0

It was a simpler time.

@TheGreenOldDill I wish I still had an answering machine 😫

See what you missed kids, oh well.

$14.95 well spent!

$14.95? People had no creativity?

Nothing beats

That was pretty expensive! $14.99 in 1988 is equivalent to approximately $41.20 in today's dollars.

I dated a DJ that had the BEST answering machine messages, complete with sound effects. One was acting like he was on the toilet when the call came, you could hear the toilet flush, clothes rustling/zipping up, “I’m coming, I’m coming!” It was funny. 😆 I used to have a cassette of messages done by Rich Little. You could choose which “celebrity” voice to use. I miss old answering machine messages. They were fun. 😂
