My 100 second elevator pitch on ETH to tradFi. Bitcoin is 1 asset - just bitcoin. Ethereum is all possible assets. Which is bigger? Gold...or all the assets in the world? This is the former President of PayPal talking about using #Bitcoin to make the $7.5 Trillion DAILY Foreign Exchange Market a much more efficient & profitable place. Silver is still strong. But will it stay at these levels long term? Will silver go higher? If owning silver bars is not your thing, the other way to play this is by owning silver mining stock. But the issue is that 75% of silver comes as a biproduct of copper, lead or zinc mining. Only 1% to 2% of their revenue comes from silver. So those types of mining companies don't care about the price of silver. There are very few mining companies that are primary silver producers, which is more than 50% of revenue from silver. The next thing to consider is, which companies can still expand their production? Which ones have really high grade ore? I only own two silver mining stocks. One of them is Aya Gold & Silver. US ticker is AYASF and the Canada ticker is AYA . to. I have owned it for several years. They are producing silver at their mine Zgounder in Morocco. They have a second project, called Boumadine, that will open in the future. They were already making great profits at Zgounder when silver was only $30 per oz. Their profits at $75 per oz are insane. The markets are not valuing the silver mining stocks at $75 per oz yet. Aya can mine silver at $19 per ounce and be breakeven. Their margin at $75 silver is currently $56 per ounce. That means Aya has an estimated annual operating cash flow of $336 million (at $75 silver). That is only for their Zgounder mine which is already operating. Their Boumadine mine is going to be 5x larger. If you believe in silver long term and don't want to own the physical metal, my top silver mine stock in my portfolio is Aya Gold & Silver. Mark Cuban has sold majority of his Bitcoin. Cuban originally bought Bitcoin with one thesis in mind: "It was a better version of gold than gold." A hedge against fiat currency losing its value. When the dollar weakens, Bitcoin should go up. But that thesis just blew up in his face. During the Iran war, when geopolitical risk was spiking and the dollar was sliding, Bitcoin dropped. Gold went to $5,000. Think about what he was expecting. Bitcoin is priced in dollars. When the dollar falls, Bitcoin becomes cheaper for buyers around the world. Global demand should kick in and push the price up. It didn't happen. Gold did exactly what it was supposed to do as a macro hedge. Bitcoin didn't. And for Cuban, that was the line. The whole premise of holding it was gone. He's more disappointed in Bitcoin than Ethereum. He had already written off memecoins as garbage entirely. This matters beyond just one billionaire's portfolio decision. The "Bitcoin as digital gold" narrative has been the backbone of institutional adoption for years. It's the reason pension funds, family offices, and corporate treasuries started buying. If that hedge thesis is broken, the next buyer at these prices needs a different reason to hold. There aren't many assets out there that have an intrinsic value floor with actual fundamental value plus a monetary premium -- and you have the ability to capture the growth of an entire network that's kind of like owning a piece of the Internet early on. That's what ETH is. It's one of the greatest assets I've ever seen." Mike adds: "I know the number can sound crazy on the surface, but one sanity check I like to do is: there's ~60 million millionaires and there's ~121 million ETH. If every millionaire globally tried to buy some ETH, they'd each be able to own ~2. Obviously there are people out there who own a lot more than 2 ETH, so it'd be less than that. So that's another way of thinking about these few-hundred-thousand-dollar price targets. I used to think about Bitcoin the same way. It's just a nice sanity check: If this is the global reserve asset and the world converges on it, and everyone tries to buy it, how much is left to go around?" Jeffrey Currie: I can see $10,000 gold and $300 silver. The main driver is the debasement trade. The war has fooled us into believing that inflation is bearish for gold and silver because of the fear of higher interest rates. But history tells a different story... During the inflationary 1970s: - Gold: ~24x - Silver: ~29x Wars are inherently inflationary, and inflation benefits hard assets like gold and silver. US money supply is rising at the fastest pace since Covid... and we all know what happened to inflation after that. Stablecoins, which are today about $310 billion, are going to trillions. Tokenized assets today are about $32 billion and going to trillions as well. Institutional DeFi adoption is happening like we’ve never seen before. We’ll get to agentic in a minute, but explaining to them — and they agree wholeheartedly — that the Ethereum ecosystem is going to be the future settlement layer for finance is the first step.” After explaining that Ethereum is going to be the global world ledger, Joseph Chalom, who is now the CEO of the $1.5 billion Ethereum treasury company Sharplink, talks about ETH the asset: “As the Ethereum ecosystem grows, you need more Ether to secure and settle these transactions. Therefore, Ether ends up becoming a trust commodity. We start with the principles and fundamentals . . . What we don’t do is make up numbers and talk about short-term price predictions for Ether.” The other thing Joseph does not do is compare Ether to Bitcoin. “The second narrative that people use typically is that [Ethereum] is ‘little brother’ to ‘big brother’ Bitcoin and that ETH is just some relative coefficient of the value of BTC and they need to trade together. This lady walks into a gold and silver dealer to sell some of her old jewelry she doesn’t wear anymore, she’s doing this in hopes of getting $400 for a used computer for her daughter who is in boarding school, she is totally unaware of the high prices gold has been reaching. She has 202 g before she adds in the last piece that’s roughly 7 ounce of 14 karat gold which is half the value of 28 carat, the price of gold now is $3900 an ounce roughly so for conversation sake let’s say it was $3500 when she made the transaction so $1750 would be the value of those 7 ounces and that equals $12,250, so they were fair with her in my opinion. Not bad, she walked in looking for 400 and walked out with $12,000, and she kept the good stuff in her purse, hopefully she went home and bought a small safe and called her insurance agent😬
