Insight Bowl December 28, 2010 Iowa's only meeting with Mizzou since 1910. In the final game of Ricky Stanzi's Hawkeye career, he throws for 200 yards and 2 interceptions. But Marcus Coker had an heroic performance against the Tigers, running for 219 yards and 2 touchdowns. Micah Hyde had a pick-6. Mike Meyer connected on a couple of field goals. Iowa wins 27-24, in what was the third straight Bowl win for Iowa: tied for the longest stretch in program history.

Jermari Harris' pick-6 yesterday marked the 17th consecutive season that Iowa has had a pick-6; which is the second longest streak in the nation. So here's ~5 minutes of picks-6. One a year, beginning in 2008. A few notes: -The streak started with Amari Spievey's pick-6 at the Metrodome in 2008. -The longest interception return in Iowa history came from Tanner Miller vs. Northwestern in 2011. -There have been 55 picks-6 in Iowa history. 41 have come under Kirk Ferentz. And only 3 happened prior to Hayden Fry. -38 have come at Kinnick Stadium, and 4 have come in Bowl games. -The closest we came to seeing the streak end was in 2019. The only pick-6 of the year came with under 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter of the Holiday Bowl. God bless Nick Niemann! -*unseen: the first pick-6 in Iowa history was Bobby Stearns vs. Montana in 1954.

John Lynch on the left guard position: “Connor Colby is a guy who started 6 games for us. A 7th round pick from Iowa last year. We liked the progression that Connor had. We like where he’s at and how he’s looking as he enters year 2. Year 1 to year 2 is always a big jump and we hope to get that jump from Connor.” It’ll more than likely come down to Colby and Robert Jones for the LG spot
