How do you notch a FOX 3 in War Thunder? The simple answer is: Fly sideways. That's not a joke if you don't know this. Turn 90 degrees and place the Radar or Missile contact on your RWR on the 3 or 9 o'clock position, dump chaff, and either gain or lose altitude, until the missile or contact stops beeping. Radar and Radar missiles have what is known as a "Notch" filter. This filter is primarily to filter out the ground from the radar display or sensor. Because if a missile is moving at 1,000m/s, what is also approaching the missile at 1,000m/s? Often times it's the ground. However, this can cause the missile or radar to also filter out slow moving targets as background clutter. If you plane is not moving directly towards or away from the missile or radar it will start to think you are part of the clutter and filter you out, missing you in the process. This is the simplest explanation of how a notch works and how to do it. FOX 3s are extremely hard to dodge like this at close range though, so you typically don't want to do that. As your options are either: "Dump chaff and pray" or "Shoot the missile down with another missile." Either can actually work in War Thunder, but are extremely unreliable. Note, almost all planes do not have an RWR sensor on the top and bottom of the fuselage, so make sure you fly level and point either wingtip at the target. This is what is known as "Beam aspect" to the target, but most people just say "notching" or "F Pull." See the video for a practical example against an AIM-54 Phoenix.

HOLY SHIT! Sparc 3D is INSANE! All they need to do now is enable PBR texture support, object separation and decimation and this in my opinion completely replaces photogrammetry. The quality of the reconstruction of these 3D objects from a single image is mind blowing to me. Yes, the model is insanely dense to allow all of this detail but the fact that AI can generate with this level of fidelity is CRAZY!!! You can try it for free on Huggingface

I haven't showered in over three weeks and I don't smell bad. That's because I've been swimming in natural bodies of water like this river right here every single day. Mount Pleasant Tennessee #BeforeTheBlast 💥 || ‘Wait for It’ This is the last case we can take for awhile; because honestly we are spread a little too thin right now — but we just got the first video of one of these wall-shaking blasts that have been going on at Mount Pleasant for months now; multiple times per day. Ashley Posey and I took the pics at a home that is less than 1,000 feet from the blast site; and it seems reasonable to ask, is this just to clear a pad to build houses? I’m not sure I fully grasped how serious the blasts were until watching this video that was sent to us earlier tonight; watch til the end to get a real time, natural reaction that makes a pretty compelling case that this is not something that should have occurred multiple times per day now for months. Poor buddies — and for good measure, this site is by a school and nursing home too. If you have video or audio of these blasts (by cell or Ring camera or Sony Walkman), we would love to have a copy - thank you! Dustin

This is the biggest piece of the puzzle. This is how to understand people 90% of the way. You just... notice what they do, and get out of the way, and watch them do it. And if they need sticks, you give them sticks. And if you don't like what they do, you have to get away from them. 🚨🚨🚨 Louisiana residents it’s our turn to act! We have 2 bills this week being put forth to ban weather modification in our state and we need all of our citizens’s support in order to get these through. The 1st bill is Senator Mike Fesi’s SB46 and it’s already passed the Senate. It is on the books to be heard in the House this week but we do not have an exact date & time as of yet. The 2nd bill is Representative Kim Coates’ HB608 and it’s scheduled to be heard this Wednesday in the House. What we need from you is to share this post and any other posts that come out regarding our bills. We need for you to reach out to the governor, reps, senators, DEQ, etc. and tell them that you support these bills via phone calls or emails. We need you to fill out the linked Call To Action form below from LACAG.org that will send your message directly to your state reps for you. You can also go to the Capitol in person to support these bills when they’re being heard. I’ve attached in this thread a video of an interview that Raphaelle O’Neil did this morning to get the message out on the bills and how to support them. As well as a meme that you can use to get the word out. This wife was trying to burn a small pile of brush while her husband was out of town. Then things went wrong. 💯 She has a gasoline can right by the fire. 🤯 I can imagine that husband’s face if he was watching the camera and seeing this transpire. At least she didn’t panic. 😂 Guess she realized she was the only adult around. When I used to live in the country I always got nervous when my neighbors burned their brush or trash. A friend of mine almost had his whole ranch burned down because a neighbor’s trash burn got out of control. Never have a gasoline can by a fire. Never. She is incredibly lucky.
