First create the image of the car you want. This was my prompt: perfect side profile of a futuristic looking adventure mobile type SUV with surfboard on top, in a coastal street setting with motion blur in the background, the car is in focus, you can see that the car is driving somewhere on HWY 1 in California as you can see the ocean in the background, the car is directly in the middle of the frame --ar 16:9 --style raw --v 7

Once I found the car I wanted, I clicked it and went to "Extend Video" / "Manual" + "Low Motion" which allowed me to write a prompt using this image as the start frame to animate it. You can use "Auto" + "Low Motion" as well but I get more control using the manual option.

A shortcut to this step is simply rolling over the preferred video and just selecting "Extend Manual" (or "Extend Auto" of course).

When the prompt dialog box comes up, usually I add extra words here like "no camera movement" or "no panning" etc for added control but I didn't this time just to see how it handled it.

From there it gives you 5 seconds of animation. Find the animation you like the best to continue with. When you find your preferred video, repeat the steps of doing another round of "Manual" + "Low Motion". Important note: from here if you want full control you'll want to use "Manual" to try to control the animation. Otherwise it tends to run off on it's own and do some wild stuff.

This next step is critical to getting the control you want. Prompt exactly what you want it to do or not do in the next clip. For example, sometimes I'd add text like: "keep going as is but on the side walk you see people walking by holding beach bright colored beach gear" Or: "keep going, show the ocean again, keeping the car perfectly centered in frame, no telephone poles" This helps you guide and control the next scenes. If you don't do this, it will repeat the background often and you can get some too repetitive stuff that distracts from the footage.

And think creatively, you can even add prompts for foreground items like trees passing or surfers walking.

This is the final clip that I got after extending 4-5 times.

Now that I have the video I needed to make the design for the website. I asked ChatGPT what to name it and to give me some text. It came up with "ALOYA – aloha + joy + solar."

Took the text ideas from ChatGPT and then created the design in Figma. I'm a Web Designer so this part was the easiest part for me but probably the hardest part of the whole process to explain how to get a good design. This part can take hours/days/weeks for most people.

Once you have your design, hide the background image and save everything else as one transparent png.

Lastly, add the mp4 you got from Midjourney into Premiere or CapCut and add the transparent png of your design on top. Export that out and BOOM, done. (The gray layer was to fade the video back to the white text would appear the brightest white - designery stuff not needed.) *I also did some slight effects in Premiere (not shown here) to further extend the video but we'll save that for a different thread sometime.

That's it. Hope you enjoyed it. AI isn't scary. It's just another tool that hopefully everyone is using in their workflows. I still had to do a lot to create this proof of concept comp but to get this right, we'll still need the professionals. See ya next time 👋
