A clever technique for creating an Artificial brick effect in cement.

That's not a modern twist. That's an OLD trick to cover up the fact that you broke one tile after it was stuck to the floor, lol!

Not practical at all. Horrible idea. Do not even try it.

Not good. Each broken edge is sharp. It would be very unsafe for naked feet, specialty babies and children. And no, the "filler" will not cover the sharped edge.

As an architect I could explain all the reasons that this is not done and would not be acceptable or meet code in most places; but most would refute with no knowledge, so,mif you think it is a good idea…go right ahead. However; realize, those edges are now unsealed, sharp, unlevel and you will end up having to redo the whole job in order to ever sell that house as it will not pass inspection.

Would have been more aesthetically pleasing with dark grout
