Thank you! Worse Rick’s (not ~c137) are the type to take a good thing too far with Morty and ignore his sanity in lieu of something more stimulating or beneficial to them. So I like to think that when Morty hits his limit, it’s entirely blindsiding and gutting- ridden in guilt.

This is to say he cares. Deeply. But needs to use Morty like a drug. The joy he gets out of him is fleeting and the usage has a limit. He loves him like a dog loves its favorite bone. They keep it close. Gnawing and gnawing until it’s gone.
