I never understood how bad this stuff was until I started jogging with a cute female friend in college. I was shocked at how many guys catcalled, slowed down in their cars, yelled, etc. And that was with me there. She said it was worse when she was alone.

If someone is following you, never rush home. I know it seems obvious, but to younger folks, it isn’t, and wasn’t to me when I was. Call for help while you’re out.

It’s tiresome fending off pick up attempts or randoms who follow you on an outdoor workout. Best case scenario: they’re obnoxious. Worst case scenario: they’re dangerous. Equality hasn’t arrived until women can exercise in public safely.
