Completely agree on the Impact Player rule. It has added excitement, but it has also reduced the value of all-rounders and made team balance less important. T20 cricket is at its best when teams have to make tough tactical choices.@sachin_rt

End of debate on impact player rule, it needs to removed from next season itself.

Naive people don't realise that Sachin is lobbying for removal of impact sub rule because with no impact sub rule, suddenly all rounders become extremely relevant in a XI like before, So his son Arjun Tendulkar can make it into a permanent member in team playing XI

India's achilles heel is quality seaming allrounder.Get rid of that impact sub.Restores balance to a great extent. Spinners (esp finger) are becoming extinct with dew. Why not use an old ball after 10 overs? Brings reverse swing also in the game. Better contest than muscle mania.

T20 itself should be thrown out of cricket! Only a ODI makes enough sense to show real ability, patience, resilience, and talent in cricket,T20 is a fake measure!

I dont think impact players should go, But the game has to be more bowler centric The pitch, the powerplay restrictions etc Enough of high scoring matches Interest is slowly fading away if the team is not scoring atleast 150.

Why is there a limitation om the number of bowlers bowled by a bowler and not the number of overs batted by a batter? The whole game is biased in favor of batting.

In the IPL, batsmen often play on flat pitches that offer little for bowlers. With the impact player rule favoring batsmen even more, it leaves bowlers with limited options. While the rule adds excitement, it heavily disadvantages bowlers.

We should also have a power play of 2 overs at the discretion of the bowling team - ability to have as many fielders outside the circle. That would give a balance to the bowling team. Fielding captain should decide when to take those 2 overs. Impact player should be stopped

- No power play and fielding restrictions at all - 5 overs x 4 bowlers (not just one) - allow 5 overseas players (RCB has one extra always, lives in UK, but Indian passport for now. Ding ding :))

Should T20 cricket return to a bowler focused balance? Scrapping the Impact Player rule is essential because it is currently reducing the role of allrounders. Sachin is right, but adding a 5th over for one bowler might hurt team strategy more than it helps.
