RDR2 was the peak of realism in open-world games. Nothing has come close to it yet. My only hope is RDR3. But who has 20 years to wait? The next big realistic open-world games will be AI-generated.

The waterfall is true, it can be improved. It looks strange sometimes with DLSS. Horses… damn, those are kind of the main characters in RDR2, 100% win. But the rest is bullshit. Let's give the game some time to improve; nevertheless, it's impressive and very enjoyable.

Why do we have to do these comparisons at all. This stuff is exhausting. I’m not going to judge the merits of splinter cell by comparing it to Metal Gear Solid just because they’re both stealth games. That would be ridiculous. Different games, different designs and goals.

What's missing from this comparison are the dragons and mechs you can fly around on. Because, and I want to be clear here, THAT is why you play a fantasy open world game like Crimson Desert.
