Development. Isn't. Linear! Love it, and a great point! Think about your own life or career -- has it been nothing but sunshine and rainbows, an upward trajectory at all times? Of course not.

It’s one of my favourite lines! If I can use it, I will

Legends don’t give up

You know it!

i will never understand how we developed him and not the rays

it’s strange bc he really isn’t “elite” at anything pitching wise or have any “elite” pitches, other than maybe his changeup. just REALLY good across the board with his control, velo, stuff, pitch mix, IQ, etc.

His changeup is definitely one of the best in the sport.

yeah didn’t mean to say “maybe”, but i meant this as a compliment and people taking this the wrong way lol. he doesn’t have a real flaw in his game and the way he pitches

One of the best things to happen to the Phillies organization in years

Caleb Cotham

The great thing about him is his mechanics look completely effortless whether he’s throwing a 97 MPH fastball or an 85 MPH change up.

Credit to Caleb Cothem. He knows his pitching

Eeeo !

Like them late bloomers!

@JohnStolnis It usually is linear, there are however exceptions to the rule, like this one

El mejor y ya. 🇩🇴🇩🇴

@RICHYBESSERMAN

He’s nowhere near a 2.50 era pitcher, bookmark this so you can unbookmark this

@ScaNat Agrégale que vino a Lidom como novato y dieron hasta con el cubo del agua... @Lidomtraderumor @carlosjlugo @EdgarCotes

@VicBaezS El mejor de la actualidad en DR..

As a Phillies fan, I had thought Sanchez would top out as a #3 starter. When they gave him the 4 year deal I was shocked. Last year showed it was totally justified and in fact an immense value. Sanchez being a top 5 pitcher in baseball never occurred to me as being possible.

lucky that he was a lefty so he got more chances to develop

Incredible breakdown. The Phillies' pitching lab deserves immense credit for identifying Sanchez’s ceiling when others didn't. This is exactly why the 'Development isn't linear' mantra is so vital in modern baseball operations
