I'm all for the optimism and wanting to protect lives and property, but can we can get an actual update of what the current situation is on he ground and the plan incase they do fail. This is the same update from 8 hours ago just worded differently.

How about updating us on internal and external temps instead of yapping bullshit

Seriously guys. Just give us brief written updates. Don't need 2-5 min videos.

Nice someone listening to my complaints on no subtitles, thank you.

You can’t be serious about protecting the public if you’re not disclosing the most important information, the current temperature of the chemical. And, no offense, but telling us you’re thinking outside the box for 24 hours now and providing no substantive details is deflecting

What’s the current internal temp? 😭

Why is the DA @OCDAToddSpitzer insinuating there is a criminal element ? Is the Garden Grove chemical hazard a criminal or terrorist event? #GardenGrove

But we know this. You told us this already. We keep getting the same updates and nothing new. No current plan. No current temp. No timeframe of anything. I understand the safety, but 50+k people out without homes and it’s scary to get no updates. It’s just a scary waiting game

My idea to save Garden Grove from failing chemical tank: 1. Use Crane or Excavator to lift Robot on top of tank and drill a hole. 2. Use Vacuum Truck to suck tank empty. 3. Move hazardous materials to refrigerated Trucks or Containers.

Out of the Box: The blast can be mitigated and directed with sand bags, while still allowing access for cooling.

Thank you for the update! Appreciate everything you're doing, and also thank you for adding closed captioning! :)

Same update from the morning but different wording 🫠. We all gonna sue every entity involved on this. This started on Thrusday, going to go for 3 days now, RIDICULOUS, people don’t care what the excuse or facts are, they only care about going back home!

It seems like all they can do is just keep the tanks cool? Thousands of people anxious here! It seems like at this point it’s just a waiting game on when this tank will explode. I understand they have to move with the utmost highest concern but this is a literal ticking time bomb

You guys got nothing. If all you have is “outside the box” discussions, you’ve got nothing

The blast and fallout zone u showed earlier only accounts for the one 7,000 gallon tank in crisis. Why aren't u communicating about the other tanks? Is that 3x the danger?

Busy day? What did you do. Talk? This video contains no answers to that or other basic concerns. What temp is the MMA liquid - drone or gauge temp? What other chemicals are nearby? What are those risks? What are the out of box ideas? When will this end, best or worse case?

I just watched this update. Very informative. Give my wind update. The wind is blowing east. So towards Beach Blvd. If it blows, check the wind, then plan your mores.

Is the water you are using to cool the tanks flowing down the streets into storm drains? Or are you making a massive pool of water?

Waiting for the update still. Same old nonsense. Went to bed saying it was under control and woke up to the tanks at 90 degrees and 8 hours later being told the there's no promises they'll handle the tanks anymore 🤦‍♂️ Good ol OCFA

1/2 You guys need to perform a Hottap, if you want this revolved. or a “vent and burn” if you want this to be resolved quickly. Else you are going be babysitting this this for 3 more days. I’m telling you from experience and not just a bystander throwing ideas.

Why are those dangerous tanks in the middle of the city? There’s many homes , businesses, parks & home apts surrounding the tanks!!!! Who approved that facility to be constructed in such populated area????

I hope you all are taking into consideration of the immediately dangerous secondary hazards. An HVAC contractor headquarters with bulk refrigerant storage, acetylene, and compressed oxygen sitting 50 feet from an exploding MMA tank is a near-simultaneous secondary event. Oxygen-enriched atmosphere from ruptured O2 cylinders dramatically accelerates and intensifies any MMA fire. The Goodwin facility - around 2000' away has some serious ramifications: Ammonia + Bleach — if their tanks rupture in a cascade event, liquid mixing produces chloramine gas. Chloramine is a chemical warfare agent precursor — acutely toxic, heavier than air, and was used as a weapon in WWI. An uncontrolled release of chloramine in a populated suburban area is a mass casualty event independent of anything happening at GKN. Ammonia vapor cloud — bulk ammonia release alone, at a facility this size, produces a toxic plume that travels downwind at ground level. IDLH for ammonia is 300 ppm. A ruptured bulk ammonia tank in Garden Grove puts toxic concentrations into those residential neighborhoods we identified. Agricultural chemical release — organophosphate compounds released in a fire produce combustion products that are neurotoxic. The smoke plume from a Goodwin facility fire isn't just irritating — it's potentially systemically toxic. I sure hope you folks are taking this into consideration!

A little late now dont ya think ? Earlier this morning you said the chemical is rising 1 degree per hour and it was at 90 degrees when you said that so as of now at 6 : 57 p.m its gotta be approaching 100 degrees if not above already thermal runaway is at 140 degrees !

Base on the math, by 9pm tonight it should reach 100deg inside the tank and thats the boiling point for MMA. Be safe everyone.
