Context/Details: Around 2013, at Cape Schmidt in Chukotka, Russia, a distressing video captured a woman being attacked and bit by a polar bear. The lead-up to this attack is somewhat unclear, but reports suggest that the woman provoked the bear by throwing it a chicken bone and then approaching it to give more. There is also speculation that the woman could have been intoxicated, possibly vomiting at the start of the video. Miraculously, due to bystanders' intervention by throwing an object, the woman managed to escape the bear's clutches, although she did sustain injuries. She was subsequently treated at a hospital for non-life-threatening cuts. In the aftermath of this incident, the bear was located and euthanized by local authorities.
