Crows are actually adorable, friendly and very intelligent

My wife feeds our local crows left over scraps in a wooden bowl nailed to the top of our back yard fence. Last week there was a broken chicken egg shell on top of the fence, a gift from the crows for feeding them. We find little scraps of paper, and all kinds of odd things around the yard from the crows. The leader of our group is huge, almost twice the size of the other crows. We also have a mated pair of ravens that visit on occasion.

Like half of these are ravens not crows

I will correct one thing, they don't have funerals, they have crime investigations. They try to figure out what or who killed a member of their group.

The first two are ravens. Just FYI.

I remember a video a long time ago circulating online of a person who trained crows to find money on the street and bring it back to him. Talk about passive income!

I still believe that , a few summers ago , a crow made off with my prescription sun glasses... And that's ok...we can still be friends.

Some of these birds are sexually aroused. Don't pet them under the neck. Don't pet wild animals, full-stop. That tail-wagging isn't what you think it is.

Weirds me out when they clearly try to mate with their carers. People probably inadvertly send mixed signals to them.

Except this is a raven. The beaks on ravens are large.

I had a developmentally delayed raven (Larry) living on my bog for a few years. The others would check on him, & when he disappeared I feared the worst. But then I heard him 1/2 mile away, and saw him flying with escorts. (He flew into a tree, but was OK)

yes. and they also like eat all the food I leave outside for the neighborhood feral cats, flip the dish away, and shit all over my porch.

I swear when I lived van life 7.5 years with my cat, and we'd be at a campground where I'd let him get out of the van to be with me in the campsite, if he started to wander away all of the crows in the tree nearby would start squawking very loudly. I called them my babysitter's!

You'd never want to be enemies with a crow. They never forget what's been done to them and they know how to get revenge very well.

This is true; I watched a documentary on it. It was fascinating, made by the University of Washington.
