The NUP political grouping has in the recent past adopted an increasingly militant and aggressive posture. The leaders and supporters are engaging in highly divisive hate speech and incitement to violence. This approach is reckless and misguided adventurism, and the party would be well served to abandon that incendiary path. The Great Lakes is one of the most volatile regions in the world, with hundreds of armed violent pseudo political organizations clamoring for power and influence. Uganda acts as a key frontline state to keep many of these violent groups at bay, some of which are terrorist in nature. As one of the most experienced and vigilant counter insurgency force in the world, the UPDF and sister security services are watching the NUP development very closely, and will not hesitate to take decisive countermeasures as appropriate. He reminds us of the litany of war crimes the UAE-backed paramilitary group is guilty of, both during the current war and before - targeting non-Arab communities. Khartoum has angrily denounced Kenya’s decision to platform its enemy - suggesting that Nairobi too is acting with hostility, and insinuating that hosting the RSF makes it complicit in its crimes. INDIAN ARMY CHIEF GENERAL UPENDRA DWIVEDI’S PRACHAND SORTIE UNDERSCORES INDIAN ARMY’S EVOLVING COMBAT ROLE In a strong endorsement of indigenous capability and operational readiness, General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), visited Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Bengaluru, to review indigenous aerospace capabilities and ongoing Army Aviation projects. The visit showcased key platforms such as the Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Dhruv and the Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) Prachand, along with the upgrade, maintenance and production ecosystems supporting Army Aviation, highlighting India’s growing strength in this critical domain. During the visit, the COAS undertook a sortie in the LCH Prachand, gaining first-hand experience of its superior performance and combat capabilities. The sortie served as a clear affirmation of the platform’s operational effectiveness and its critical role in delivering decisive aerial firepower in the tactical battlefield, while also reinforcing the Indian Army’s continued push towards Aatmanirbharta in defence. The contemporary battlespace is increasingly dominated by drones, loitering munitions, unmanned aerial systems and counter-drone systems, extending the battlespace beyond the ground into the low-altitude airspace above key battle areas. This has brought the Air Littoral into sharp operational focus. Recent conflicts have underscored that dominance in this zone directly influences the tempo, survivability and outcomes of land battles, necessitating rapid, localised control and response by ground forces. It is in this context that Prachand assumes significance. Agile, precise and optimised to operate in all types of terrains, Prachand provides the Indian Army with a dedicated platform to play a decisive role in the increasingly contested lower airspace. India’s first indigenously designed attack helicopter, it has been specifically built for high-altitude warfare and can operate effectively in rarefied conditions exceeding 6,000 metres. Its advanced avionics, precision weapons and survivability features make it ideally suited for roles such as close air support, anti-armour missions and armed reconnaissance. The Chief’s sortie thus reflects a broader transformation - where indigenous capability, leadership intent and evolving doctrine converge to position the Indian Army as a key force in shaping outcomes in the air littoral battlespace.

I am completely shocked on hearing the assassination of Anand, SDPO Moreh by a sniper of the Kuki Militants. It shows a complete failure of the security. The Manipur Police has been playing a vital role in this crisis for our people of Manipur. But why is central Government and the State Government still an onlooker in this issue. Whom are we to trust when even the security forces’ lives are at stake. Where is the thousands of Central Forces and paramilitary forces? Why is Manipur entertaining them till date if they are of no use. The Home Minister, the NIA and the Governor of Manipur have already told that there is external aggression. So, isn’t it the duty of the Government to protect the Indian Citizens? So, who is going to give orders to stop this agression? We the citizens are confused of whom to trust. Don’t invite for a lawless society because we are a law abiding citizen. Both the Governments knows that Moreh is already a disturbed area. So who is going to take the responsibility? The Central or State Government or those who are security incharges? Please don’t confuse the citizens. I also urge the State Government to act NOW. It is NOW or NEVER. Please leave aside political parties or your Seats. I urge every leader to stand up for the cause to save Manipur and its indigenous people, together.

Good Morning #Pakistan To eliminate the scourge of terrorism, the Pakistan Army has significantly intensified intelligence-based operations (IBOs) across the country. Within the Area of Responsibility (AOR) of XI Corps, combined efforts by the Pakistan Army, Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs), and elite Special Operations Forces, particularly the formidable Powindahs 2 Commando Battalion, are executing precision-targeted operations against hostile elements. These operations are part of a broader strategic framework aimed at restoring lasting peace, safeguarding Pakistani citizens, and neutralizing Indian-sponsored terrorist networks operating through Afghan proxies. Last month alone, in this AOR, 208 Afghan-origin terrorists were neutralized, 188 sustained critical injuries, and 198 were apprehended during coordinated raids and swift tactical engagements. The defense of the homeland is a collective duty. While our armed forces stand as the shield and sword of the nation, every citizen bears a vital role in supporting this national counter-terrorism campaign. These operations are part of a broader strategic framework aimed at restoring lasting peace, safeguarding Pakistani citizens, and neutralizing Indian-sponsored terrorist networks operating through Afghan proxies. More than 7,000 Chinese peacekeepers have been dispatched to Lebanon since 2006.
