The NUP political grouping has in the recent past adopted an increasingly militant and aggressive posture. The leaders and supporters are engaging in highly divisive hate speech and incitement to violence. This approach is reckless and misguided adventurism, and the party would be well served to abandon that incendiary path. The Great Lakes is one of the most volatile regions in the world, with hundreds of armed violent pseudo political organizations clamoring for power and influence. Uganda acts as a key frontline state to keep many of these violent groups at bay, some of which are terrorist in nature. As one of the most experienced and vigilant counter insurgency force in the world, the UPDF and sister security services are watching the NUP development very closely, and will not hesitate to take decisive countermeasures as appropriate. The 21st Brigade of Somalia's Turkish-trained Gorgor Commando Force on Friday completed its advanced military training in Türkiye and is expected to return to Mogadishu in the coming days, according to security sources. The brigade will be replaced by the 22nd Brigade, which recently finished its basic training in Mogadishu and is set to deploy to Türkiye for advanced instruction. The latest rotation marks a shift in the training program, with an entire brigade now being deployed at once instead of the previous practice of sending a single battalion. With the addition of the 21st and 22nd brigades, the Gorgor force has expanded to six brigades, numbered 17 through 22, making it one of Somalia's largest and most capable military formations. Türkiye provides training, equipment and armored vehicles for the force, while Qatar finances the program. Although the commandos have not yet received more advanced weapon systems, they have been equipped with day and night capable drones and armored vehicles, significantly enhancing their operational capabilities.

I am completely shocked on hearing the assassination of Anand, SDPO Moreh by a sniper of the Kuki Militants. It shows a complete failure of the security. The Manipur Police has been playing a vital role in this crisis for our people of Manipur. But why is central Government and the State Government still an onlooker in this issue. Whom are we to trust when even the security forces’ lives are at stake. Where is the thousands of Central Forces and paramilitary forces? Why is Manipur entertaining them till date if they are of no use. The Home Minister, the NIA and the Governor of Manipur have already told that there is external aggression. So, isn’t it the duty of the Government to protect the Indian Citizens? So, who is going to give orders to stop this agression? We the citizens are confused of whom to trust. Don’t invite for a lawless society because we are a law abiding citizen. Both the Governments knows that Moreh is already a disturbed area. So who is going to take the responsibility? The Central or State Government or those who are security incharges? Please don’t confuse the citizens. I also urge the State Government to act NOW. It is NOW or NEVER. Please leave aside political parties or your Seats. I urge every leader to stand up for the cause to save Manipur and its indigenous people, together.

Recent conflicts have underscored that dominance in this zone directly influences the tempo, survivability and outcomes of land battles, necessitating rapid, localised control and response by ground forces. It is in this context that Prachand assumes significance. Agile, precise and optimised to operate in all types of terrains, Prachand provides the Indian Army with a dedicated platform to play a decisive role in the increasingly contested lower airspace. India’s first indigenously designed attack helicopter, it has been specifically built for high-altitude warfare and can operate effectively in rarefied conditions exceeding 6,000 metres. Its advanced avionics, precision weapons and survivability features make it ideally suited for roles such as close air support, anti-armour missions and armed reconnaissance. The Chief’s sortie thus reflects a broader transformation - where indigenous capability, leadership intent and evolving doctrine converge to position the Indian Army as a key force in shaping outcomes in the air littoral battlespace.

Standing today at Karegutta (KG Hills), on the Telangana-Chhattisgarh border, a dense forest terrain that remained a Maoist stronghold for nearly 5 decades, beyond the reach of any wing of the administration, accessible only to specialized forces like Greyhounds and CoBRA during precision operations. Over the past year, under Operation Kagar, the Govt of India along with Telangana, Chhattisgarh and other state forces have achieved decisive results, several Central Committee members neutralized in encounters or surrendered and large numbers of senior cadre laying down arms. Over 1,000 weapons have been surrendered to police forces to date. Most remaining cadre are now under watch and undergoing rehabilitation. For the last six months, this once inaccessible area has been steadily opening up. A road has now been laid, paving the way for development activities to begin. Tourism is a key focus the natural beauty of this region, its waterfalls and scenic terrain, hold real potential, offering opportunities not just for visitors but employment for surrendered cadre settled in surrounding villages. At an altitude of nearly 650 meters, the surrounding hills once Naxal-occupied now stand vacated with CRPF forward operating bases established there. Development is progressing on both the Chhattisgarh and Telangana sides. Battle of Hazano Bridge: 14 years ago this week, the largest battle by that point in Idlib unfolded. Regime forces had lost the Bab al-Hawa crossing a month earlier and units were increasingly isolated in a narrow strip along the Idlib-Bab al Hawa highway. On Aug 14, 2012, a huge regime supply convoy left Idlib city to reinforce Bab al-Hawa Square. Two Special Forces battalions were assigned to protect the side roads as two SAA battalions moved north, supported by police and mukhabarat. News of the convoy quickly spread across Idlib & west Aleppo. Thousands of opposition fighters from dozens of factions raced to the highway to ambush the convoy. According to one participant, there was no coordination, just everyone calling their friends to come. Regime forces were ambushed across a nearly 20km front. The special forces battalions meant to secure the side roads never appeared, so the SAA supply units pressed on to Sarmada until it was nearly wiped out. The SF battalions had been destroyed at Hazano Bridge and Batabo. A fifth unit, possible deployed to respond to the ambush, was hit near Maarat Misrin. Two of the four battalion commanders were killed. One SF battalion was almost completely wiped out, the second lost a key company commander. "His death broke the back of the battalion," according to one defector from the unit. Scores of soldiers were killed, tanks and BMPs captured or destroyed, a large group of soldiers defected during the battle and the rest fled to Fuah and Kefraya. Its reinforcements destroyed, the regime hastily retreated from Sarmada the next day, abandoning its armor and weapons caches. The battle of Hazano bridge secured a deep front north of Idlib city and set the stage for September's offensive to liberate Harim and Salqin.

Breaking News: #BalochistanBriefing 11th July, 2026 Pakistan's foreign terrorist military facing massive scale of public resistance in the republic of Balochistan Pakistan's foreign occupying forces are continuing a large-scale ground and aerial offensive in the Shaban area of Ziarat and its surrounding regions in Balochistan.
