I don't think a lot of people (women) realize the danger they're in on cruise ships especially when you hit international waters. Big cruiselines like college campus like to keep their crime stats hushed up so the amounts of S/A that goes unreported/charged is astronomical.

But all these cruise ship companies register their ships in other countries to employ cheap international employees & save a buck even though they are exclusively catering to the US passengers & have their ports here. The labor standards on ships would never fly here.

Cruise ship companies are an odd lot as they aren't federally regulated but can operate off US shores and take on passengers. MSC is headquartered out of Geneva, Switzerland and would be governed by laws there.

@alisalillico And not only cruise ships! Amusement parks, hotel chains, anywhere where there are public bathrooms where women and kids are. Ugh. 🙄

@TizzyEnt Sadly nearly all cruise ship lines have their ship licenced off US soil and therefore any crimes committed are not subject to US law. Further anything that happens on them their not in US waters so again no punishment. Entire hit piece about it will link it in sec
