All it should take is a single mistake from your teammate in defense for you to start playing more passively. In your solo queue games, you should not be in front of your teammate for long at all.

🚨 Use DIRECTIONAL RUNS to score EASY GOALS in FC26 To perform: 1. Press L1 to trigger the run 2. Flick the RS in the direction you want Levi de Weerd shows a perfect example here of how to attack space with the directional run here. He first sends his winger on a run in behind then player locks to drop the ST deep. His opponent reacts well by tracking the run but he also holds R1 to 2nd man press the ball, leaving space in behind the CB, where Levi will flick the RS for the winger to take that space inside. First time through ball with Vitinha and it’s an easy 1v1 with the GK. This also work really well when you trigger a central player like a ST or CAM to make a diagonal run into space out wide.

Why You Don’t Shoot For The Head In Self-Defense: There’s a clip going around of a guy at the range drawing from concealment and putting fast rounds on target. Then a cop standing behind him says, “Yeah… but mine were all headshots.” And that comment exposes one of the biggest misunderstandings people have about self-defense shooting. Headshots are not the flex people think they are. Anybody can hit a head if you give them enough time. But self-defense is not about taking your time and stacking perfect holes on a paper target. It’s about stopping a threat as fast as humanly possible. So I put it on a timer. Headshots vs. center mass. At close distance, the headshots were slower and messier. At ten yards, pushing for the head caused rounds to come completely off target. And in real life, a miss is not just a miss. It’s a wall. A car. A house. Or an innocent person who had nothing to do with the fight. That’s why responsible self-defense training focuses on acceptable accuracy, combat accuracy, and putting fast, effective hits into the area most likely to stop the threat. The goal is not to kill. Perfect 1v1 Drill For Finding Your LOCKDOWN Defenders! Coach LoGalbo takes you through a drill that is perfect for finding your lockdown defenders that you can rely on when the lights turn on. As Nick LoGalbo says, it's a great way to find your "Rambo" which is a defender that you can rely on to defend your opponent’s best ball handler in the full court. And, an added offensive benefit to this drill, is that it allows for offensive players to work on their ball handling in the face of defensive pressure! This 1 on 1 Contain Drill is from Nick LoGalbo's Outer Third Defense (No Middle Defense). That's why the goal of this basketball drill is to force the opponent's primary ball handlers to the outer thirds of the basketball court (and out of the middle!) as soon as they catch the ball. By doing this, it allows the defense to dictate the entry pass to one side of the floor. By keeping the ball on the outer third of the basketball court, you can overload the backside of the defense which helps control the opponents passing lanes, deters easy passes and helps eliminate the dribble drive. You can incorporate this drill every other day in practice to re-emphasize to your defenders the importance of keeping the ball handlers out of the middle of the basketball court. Instructions and Keys to the 1 on 1 Contain Drill: - Give the ball handler a cushion. This makes it easier to contain them in the outer thirds. - Chest and contest a crossover to the middle. You do not turn your body. You must beat the offensive player to the spot and turn them back to the outer thirds. - If you get beat, you sprint ahead of the ball. You do not continue shuffling. - Keep the ball in the outer thirds the entire length of the court. It does not stop after the offensive player gets past half court. - The goal of the drill is to simply keep the ball handler in the outer thirds. - The defense should focus on beating the ball to the spot and chest to contest defense. - As soon as the first group gets to halfcourt, the second group begins. - After a group makes it all the way to the opposite baseline, they switch positions and get in line to repeat the drill going the opposite direction. Coaching Tips - Once a player gets chest to contest, they must spring back to get in front of the ball. Your goal is not to be running side by side. You must get in front of the offensive player. This prevents the offensive player from getting an angle to the basket. - After running through the drill for a specified amount of time, switch directions so the offensive players must focus on using both hands as their primary dribbling hand. - It is important to mix up players rather than like positions always competing against each other, so that players get used to guarding a wide variety of positions. It forces the players to adjust defensively regarding speed and skill. - Another positive of this drill is it gives you the ability to assess who your Rambo is: players who can work the point guard up the floor.

Coming Out Philosophy - 2 first downs to change the field - TD to change the game - Freeze to create a free 5 or take a shot - "If they don't jump I'll still probably take a shot and see if we can change the field quickly. - Quick game = no throws into the core of the defense. Whistle Drill The Whistle Drill is a great drill that simulates the chaos that takes place during transition defense. Transition defense is basically a scramble situation. Players should not worry about finding "their man" during transition. They should be worried about taking away the lane and easy baskets, stopping the ball, and identifying where the shooters are located. The teams that... -Communicate -Anticipate -Hustle ....will be most successful in transition defense. The Whistle Drill requires players to do all 3 of these things and therefore is a perfect drill to prepare your teams to successfully navigate the chaos of transition defense. It’s like going against a computer at chess. You iterate and adapt your moves until you find the right combination that solves the problem. A simple action that I think is going to continue to pop up more and more? Get - Keep I love Gets because of their ability to accomplish a lot of the same things you want your ball screen to do. The thing that is fantastic about them, however, is their keep-ability. If the defense plays at the level, or switches, or in any way gives you space to attack... the Keep option is LETHAL. Great potential action for younger team too!

Get rid of the bad habit of walking off mound after every pitch towards catcher, receiving ball from C and walking a mile back to the top of the mound to make next pitch. It’s like watching paint dry and your defense falls asleep behind you. And on top of that… the grass hates you! Always remember, championship teams play with energy. Find ways, as a ball club, to add fuel, not lose it.
