Crypto exchange volume dropped about 30% after the 10/10 crash Bitget CEO Gracy Chen on where trading activity is moving, and why smaller exchanges were hit even harder "Right after 10/10, we see a volume decrease of maybe 30% on average among all the top exchanges. For the smaller exchanges it could be even worse because there's like the Matthew effect." "The big ones will become bigger, and the smaller ones will just shrink and become smaller and eventually die down. And that's indeed the situation that we've seen." "What's quite interesting now that we are observing is a lot of users come to our platform to trade non-crypto assets. At its peak earlier this year, non-crypto assets counted for almost 40% of our total trading volume." "One is tokenized commodities or commodity perpetuals, and the other one is stocks in general, especially US stocks."
