cs ain't the same anymore 😔💔

CS is still a fun game, don't get me wrong, but this is the first time i am not just blinded by nostalgia - i actually had a ton more fun playing cs:go back in like 2015/2016 than now.

there's genuinely NO CONTENT, only thing we are getting is shit that we already had or useless cosmetic updates, it's so frustrating because nothing will change. Even though the popularity of the game is at an all time high, the game is just forgotten by the devs ☹️

Exactly! Like, how many times can you queue mirage / nuke / dust and not get bored, brother i've been playing this game for 10 years, cs in general for 16+ years, at this point it's literally the definition of insanity, i would kill for them to add idk, surf as an official gm :(

I've played since CS:GO came out, and there's been nothing interesting about the game since 2020 when the last operation dropped. But with the source 2 rumors it felt like it's worth not getting any updates, but now that CS2 is out there's still absolutely nothing 😭

I bought cs:go in 2014, because my pc couldn't handle it before. Back then i did play comp, but i prefered community servers, i loved surfing, deathruns etc. (i came from 1.6). CSGO was still pretty decent for it, but now in cs2 every fun gamemode feels so - janky? Idk anymore

All competitive games tend to burn you out overtime, that's the reason you play less and suffer. You grow up don't have time and it's not the same, but that doesn't mean the game was better before. I been playing CS since 1999 and it's always has been the same. You need breaks.

Core CS gameplay has barely changed since 6 years ago (you could even argue since the days of 1.6), it's the player who has changed. Instead of accepting the change and moving on, he vainly pursuits the happiness he once knew; hindering his growth as a person.

I hit this stage when csgo came out, started in 1.3 and grinded 8-12 hours a day before and after school in my early teens because i wanted to compete at World Cyber Games in Korea i think it was 1999 or 2000. 1.5 was peek cs, 1.6 a little worse source worse again csgo forget it.

Screw the new content just fix the rampant cheating issue and go back to the time before subtick and it wouldn’t be as miserable. Seems like combating cheating is literally impossible though so it’s ggs I guess.
