My son won the Cousin’s Persimmon Club challenge at Rockford CC at dusk and the cash prize of $100. I mocked Jackson for opting for a 9 iron on the first tee shot (playing 370 yards). He hit 9 iron, 9 iron, wedge to 3 feet and a putt for par. Some pretty good golf considering he just started playing again and he had never played persimmons and blades.
