Too injured for Ottawa but not China? Liberal MP resigns over travel-limiting health issues Liberal MP Shaun Chen has announced his resignation from the House of Commons, citing health issues that he says have made regular travel to Ottawa difficult. However, there are allegations he made multiple trips to China following his accident. So why is it that the Scarborough North MP was apparently able to travel overseas while supposedly struggling to carry out his parliamentary duties? Chen, who has represented Scarborough North since 2015, will officially resign Aug. 15. He said a car accident in late 2025 left him with “significant health issues” that prevented him from travelling to Ottawa as frequently as required. Parliamentary records show Chen spoke in the House only once over the past year. Prime Minister Mark Carney thanked Chen for his service and wished him a swift recovery. However, independent researcher and commentator Andy Lee has documented WeChat posts and videos showing Chen apparently travelled to China at least twice after the accident. In March, Chen appeared in videos alongside broadcasters Lee identified as being connected to the Chinese Communist Party’s Central Propaganda Department. Other influencer-style videos showed the Liberal MP eating and appearing in content posted by alleged CCP-linked accounts. Then, in late July, roughly two weeks before announcing his resignation, Chen was again photographed in Guangdong. WeChat posts described Chen as participating in an “official business delegation” alongside Markham regional councillor Joe Li, including a visit to Guangzhou Nansha Port. So, who organized and financed the delegation and in what capacity was Chen participating? The controversy comes amid years of scrutiny surrounding alleged Chinese foreign interference in Canadian politics. A 2024 report from the National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians warned that some parliamentarians had been “semi-witting or witting” participants in foreign interference efforts, including by China. Previous controversies have also surrounded former Liberal MP Han Dong, who denied allegations concerning Chinese interference and left the Liberal caucus in 2023. Some of the claims surrounding Dong remain disputed. Chen's health circumstances are ultimately only known to him and his doctors. But the contrast between his stated difficulty travelling to Ottawa and his documented international travel raises legitimate concerns for the constituents who elected him. If Chen's injuries made fulfilling his parliamentary responsibilities untenable, Canadians deserve an explanation for how he was nevertheless able to travel to China twice after the accident — including just weeks before leaving office. Where is outgoing Toronto Liberal MP Shaun Chen? We visited Shaun Chen's constituency office. It was a surreal experience… Where oh where is Shaun Chen? Is he residing in Canada or China or Parts Unknown? The Scarborough North MP recently announced his resignation from the House of Commons. The reason: health issues. You see, due to a car accident that he endured, making regular trips to Ottawa was too difficult for him. All of which is fascinating given that Chen made a trip to China following that aforementioned accident. How is it that a five-hour drive down Hwy. 401 is too arduous but a 15-hour overseas flight is easy-peasy? It should be noted that Chen is hardly a workaholic when it comes to representing his riding. Parliamentary records indicate that Chen spoke in the House only once over the past year. Must be nice. Meanwhile, our friend, commentator Andy Lee, has documented WeChat posts and videos showing that Chen apparently travelled to China at least twice after the accident. But why? And here’s what’s really eyebrow-raising: Lee notes that Chen appeared in videos alongside broadcasters who are allegedly connected to the Chinese Communist Party’s Central Propaganda Department. If that’s not a red flag then what is? And the question arises: who organized and financed the delegation? And what exactly was Chen’s role? We know there has been Chinese foreign interference in Canadian politics in the past. Is Chen taking part in such shenanigans? And really, where do his allegiances lie – Canada or China? Don’t expect the mainstream media to ask these tough questions. In fact, the opposite is true: the Media Party is defending Chen! Check out the headline of a recent CTV story: “The smearing of a departing Liberal MP reveals a toxic political playbook”. Translation: the so-called “smearing” of Chen is due to Conservatives being racist. Unbelievable… In any event, we recently visited his constituency office to hopefully scrum this elusive person, who is less a Member of Parliament and more of an international man of mystery. It was surreal. First of all, we arrived at the same time a transport truck was making a huge delivery to Chen. What was the cargo? Thousands of face masks! Golly, is Chen visiting the Wuhan Institute of Virology when’s he hobnobbing around China these days? Does he have inside information that “Covid-27” is inevitable? If that’s the case he’ll make out like a bandit with his face mask inventory! Also, a staffer briefly vacated the office. His purpose? To photograph the licence plate of our vehicle. Why would that be? Great question. When we sought an explanation the office door was slammed shut. Then a man who would not identify himself demanded we leave the plaza. He said he planned to call the police. We don’t know if he placed a call to 911, but cops never showed up. Maybe because we weren’t breaking the law? (Well, not Canadian law at least…) In the meantime, Chen remains AWOL. Which makes us ponder: what the hell is this guy up to?

In May, President Trump flew to Beijing, where Xi Jinping was the host and the choreography was his. On September 24, Xi gets one day in Washington and sets none of it. That asymmetry explains this week's reporting better than the headline on it does. The South China Morning Post reported on August 15 that Chinese officials, six weeks out, still had not identified anyone in Washington running the arrangements, and that Beijing saw little progress on deliverables. Read that as a Beijing anxiety report rather than a Washington status report. What Chinese officials are really saying is that they cannot buy certainty this time. Politico has the itinerary from four people familiar with it. Xi arrives the evening of the 23rd, talks at the White House on the 24th, and leaves on the 25th. He is skipping the UN General Assembly debate that opens on the 22nd, and that omission is the most revealing detail of the whole trip. UNGA week means open press, protesters within camera range, other leaders working their own agendas, and questions nobody hands him in advance. One room, one host, two nights, then home. His last state visit was 2015: a week on the ground, Seattle, Boeing, Microsoft, a state dinner, days of managed imagery. This one is a day trip with a bed. One thing I will not repeat yet. I have found no evidence to support the claim now circulating that the trip gets postponed at the last minute, pushed past the midterms, or cancelled over Taiwan. What I would watch is whether Beijing keeps leaking complaints about the planning. That is usually how it lowers expectations before a visit that will not produce the pictures it wanted. Speaking in the Steel Industry (Special Measures) Bill debate today, we should all focus on the requirement to save the jobs of those 3,500 people who have this threat hanging over them. China is pushing to shut down British steel industries, pushing forward to shut down the blast furnaces in the UK. Far too many countries like China have abused the rules of the free market, have subsidised their industries ridiculously, and have used slave labour to produce products. When that happens, the free market is dead. China now itself is suffering from an overproduction of steel. Their own housing industry has gone static on them, and they were one of the biggest users of the steel produced by China. Where is that steel going to go? It’s no surprise that a Chinese company Jingye is involved in this, because by pushing forward to shut down the blast furnaces in the UK, they know that we will have to buy slab steel from China. This is not a coincidence. This is all part of the plan. We must recognise that we will have to deal with those whom we trust and who do not break the rules. That means a whole rethink of the Government’s China policy. The previous Conservative Government should never have awarded it the contract, and I warned them about that. It is time for us to make sure that we deal with China at face value and do not accept the pretence that this company is private or in any way detached from its Government. That is a critical point. Cheap Chinese steel is a desperate problem for us, and we need to work with other countries in dealing with it. We also need to get our costs down. On Net Zero, I hope that the Secretary of State will tell the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero that we cannot go on like this. #BritishSteel

CBC at it again: textbook Liberal echo chamber Today's interview with Brian Clow post Trump latest tariffs— former Trudeau deputy chief of staff, now conveniently positioned as “independent analyst” — was a masterclass in soft journalism. Host and guest spent the segment gently agreeing that Trump’s latest tariff escalation is “not a surprise,” that Canada should stay calm, that Carney is still the “best person” to handle it, and that voters trust him despite zero tangible wins on the file he campaigned on (“an even better deal”).No hard questions No pushback on the stalled talks No accounting for the concessions already made (digital services tax, counter-tariffs walked back, Gordie Howe revenue sharing) Just soothing reassurance that Carney’s polling holds because Canadians understand he’s dealing with an “erratic” president This is the same revolving door we’ve seen for years: senior Liberal staffers cycle into pundit roles on the public broadcaster, praising the current Liberal PM while the tough questions are reserved for Conservatives. Taxpayers fund the network that functions as an arm of the PMO communications shop When the relationship between government, former staffers, and state-funded media is this cozy, it stops being journalism and becomes narrative management. Canadians deserve better than scripted reassurance that everything is under control while key sectors get hammered and the bilateral relationship deteriorates CBC’s bias isn’t a glitch. Remember when Trump said that China "sought to identify US journalists who had reported negatively on the US president and pay them large sums of money to write more negative articles about him"? Natalie Winters tells me she has uncovered the identities of journalists she believes have participated in China's pay-for-play propaganda machine: "There's a sister group to [the Chinese Communist Party’s United Front] called the Committee of 100. It's a little more US-based, but I actually obtained — I just published the story — a leaked document from them. They unintentionally put it up on their website, and it was an internal trip report... where they were talking about five journalists that had gone to China. They were saying it was $60,000 a person that they were covering their expenses, and they were literally itemizing the ARTICLES that they got in return from these people after they came back, even having some of these journalists give them direct commentary and quotes about how these trips 'changed their perspective of China.' They're touring Huawei facilities, they're touring military bases, they're touring sanctioned companies. One trip participant, upon return, she literally published an article: 'China bashing is for losers.' You have another one praising everything that China has done on climate change. One warned that, 'decoupling from China would backfire.' A Washington Post editor literally published a story titled, 'Team Trump should be careful what it wishes for on China.' They said that China doesn't currency manipulate, TPP is great, the scrutiny of Huawei isn't misplaced. This is a direct quote: 'Americans should accept that large-scale manufacturing will never return to the United States.' Back in 2010, they were more focused on shaping how Americans viewed China... Now, it's more about attacking Trump, attacking people who are tough on China, shaping how Americans actually engage with our foremost adversary."

HOLY SHIZZLES‼️ 🚨 It is official! President Trump has officially withdrawn the United States from the World Health Organization Promises Made. Promises KEPT. The Pandemic Treaty that Will Surrender American Sovereignty over to The WHO, Which is Owned By China! “The World Health Organization has become nothing more than a corrupt globalist scam, paid for by the United States but owned and controlled by China. When the China virus reached our shores three years ago, the World Health Organization disgracefully covered the tracks of the Chinese Communist Party every single step of the way. For this reason, it was my great honor to terminate America's relationship with the World Health Organization…> Unfortunately, crooked Joe Biden foolishly re-entered the World Health Organization…> And now Biden is pushing to bypass the United States Senate to enter a Pandemic Treaty that would surrender American sovereignty to the World Health Organization, again, controlled by China…>” AS PRESIDENT, I Will: • Immediately terminate that treaty • Not allow public health to be used as a pretext to advance the march of global government. • Withdraw from the corrupt World Health Organization. • Work to forge a new coalition of nations that are strongly committed to protecting health, while also upholding sovereignty and freedom. “They were so anxious to get the United States back after I terminated the agreement. They were so anxious to get it back that they offered me a deal, $25 to $30 million. And I said, no, I'll wait.” DROP A “HELL YEAH” if you like this

Speculation surrounding the health of First Lady Janet Kataaha Museveni has intensified in recent days, with unverified reports circulating online alleging that she may be in critical condition. Some claims have gone as far as suggesting she has been placed on life support, although no official confirmation has been provided. Fueling these concerns is her noticeable absence from public view for more than five days. The situation has been further complicated by the circulation of what appear to be outdated photographs, shared by individuals perceived to be sympathetic to the current administration, but presented as though they were taken in real time. This has only deepened public suspicion and amplified calls for clarity. Against this backdrop of uncertainty, a Ugandan government aircraft designated for VIP transport landed in the United States just hours ago, again without any official explanation for its mission. The aircraft, registered as 5X-UGF, is a Gulfstream G550 operated by the Government of Uganda and commonly used for official state travel, including the transportation of President Yoweri Museveni. Flight tracking data from FlightAware (RAU2) indicates that the aircraft transited through Cape Verde before arriving in Savannah, Georgia, where it has remained on the ground for over 23 hours as of this report. Authorities in Uganda have yet to publicly disclose the purpose of this trip. The timing of the aircraft’s arrival, coupled with the lack of official communication, has only intensified public curiosity and speculation. Many are now questioning whether there is any connection between the reported health concerns of the First Lady and the unexplained presence of the state aircraft in the United States. As speculation continues to grow, key questions remain unanswered: Where is Janet Kataaha Museveni, and how credible are the claims surrounding her condition? Until authorities provide clear and verifiable information, uncertainty is likely to persist. YouTube -
