If Eminem said he was a visitor in the Hip Hop culture and pay homage to the greats, then maybe the rest should follow suit. If only people learn the origins of hip hop then we wouldn't have this conversation.

Could we enter their (non-Black American) cultural spaces and tell them who is the better contender? No🗣️

Eminem really screwed it up for “urban” whites by going mainstream lol. There’s a subsection of underprivileged White America (I call it “Starter Pack White Privilege”) that deeply connects with rap, that need artist like Kendrick to convey the struggle of our neighbors and kin.

This still ain’t it. Most are having surface convos that pander to a narrative and the root is that he’s mixed. “…a lifetime battle with yourself”. Raised by a “colonizing” ideology while his daddy sat in Memphis “for the culture”. 👆🏽his dad’s website credits him as being half of Drakes DNA. I’m not a Drake fan, just a mixed chick who sees beyond the “this vs that” which seems to be a priority in these debates. Meet the Grahams could have kicked a door open, but instead… remained in the hallway. “I don’t see color” met “I don’t see culture” and had a baby called “I don’t understand the problem, but I see an opportunity to avoid it”.

I always wondered why people had a problem with Logic saying the Nword but with Drake it was cool, they basically the same guy, aside one of them actually write his own lyrics 🤣🤣🤣🤣 📝

I am black and just for kdot saying something like that is why I completely understood the angle Drake was coming from when dropped the slave bar and thought it was funny af. Kdot needs to not take himself so seriously. He is not the black messiah that speaks for the culture

He’s completely right, as a Hispanic I don’t fully understand but if someone from non Hispanic countries came in and made Spanish songs to get on the hot 100 then not come back to it or pay respects to it then It would leave a sour taste… oh yeah Drake did that. 😂💀😂💀😂
