Sounds reasonable. That is why the Senator put out a statememt that he “accomplished whst he came for” to see that Abrego was alive and well.

His analysis may be correct, but it doesn't matter. Never stop your enemy when they are making a mistake. He went there, failed, and now looks like a jackass. Arresting him for this will draw attention from his failure and make the story about the administration arresting a member of the opposition.

It's an absolute violation of the Logan Act. People are already demanding that charges be brought against him.
