ONLY A FEW PEOPLE FROM THIS CROWD SURVIVED! This is Saadat Abad, Tehran — Kaj Square — Thursday, January 8, 2026, a few hours after protesters set fire to a Basij base at Al-Rasoul Mosque and several riot-control vehicles, and were standing in the square. The source says that minutes later, firefighters and security forces attempted to arrive to extinguish the Basij base, but the people prevented them from doing so. A few minutes later, around 10:00 p.m., several Land Cruiser pickup trucks opened heavy fire on the entire crowd from West and East Sarv Street and Saadat Abad Street. He says that from this crowd, only a few people survived.

This is the simplest way to understand square roots… and somehow most of us were never taught it. Instead of just memorizing that the square root of 9 is 3 because “3 times 3 equals 9,” this guy shows it visually. He draws dots in the shape of a square and explains that the square root is simply the length of one side of that square. Why didn’t they teach it like this when we were in school? It makes so much more sense when you can actually see it. Would you have understood square roots better if they were taught this way?
