Currently, government stops Americans with less than $1M net worth or less than $200K in annual income from getting in at the ground floor of investments. We can change that by repealing the Accredited Investor Rule. We should make it easier for Americans to achieve prosperity.

The Accredited Investor Rule is textbook government overreach—locking 90% of Americans out of private markets while letting bureaucrats pick winners. H.R. 145, the Risk Disclosure and Investor Attestation Act, finally challenges this by letting individuals attest to their risk understanding instead of relying on arbitrary wealth thresholds. Private markets now account for $2.3T+ in annual capital raises vs. $1.2T in public markets, yet middle-class investors are forced into overpriced IPOs after early gains are captured by VCs. The current rules aren’t about protecting Main Street—they’re about gatekeeping prosperity. Repealing this outdated barrier aligns with real financial freedom, letting Americans invest in innovation without D.C. paternalism.

Protect your money now! Two US banks collapsed, billions trapped. Invest in gold, a retirement hedge outside of the government's control.

How do you do that and keep the financial predators away?

I love that you know the market sir. Maybe the dark markets wouldn't be so dark if the gameboard was more equal.

@ByronDonalds Would you be willing to propose a bill making it illegal for member of the house and senate to buy or sell stocks while in office?

Think deeply before doing this. We are not discussing publicly traded companies or companies with open balance sheets. These are risky deals that usually also have liabilities above the cost of the investment

The Newsmax IPO looked interesting, but those requirements stopped me. If the government allows you to pick a stupid college degree that won't support you, they should let you make a stupid investment in the market too.

@ByronDonalds I thought it was to exclude these individuals from high risk investments were they could easily lose their investment
