Ghanaian passengers were reportedly delayed by Qatar Airways at Kotoka International Airport for a flight to Doha scheduled to depart at 5:15 pm. Passengers did not board as scheduled but eventually boarded about two hours later. After boarding, they experienced further delays due to a tire burst. It appeared that the flight might be canceled, but no communication was provided to the passengers. After being left without information for about four hours, they disembarked from the plane and their boarding passes were collected with the promise of accommodation being arranged for them. As at midnight, they were still stranded at the airport with nowhere to rest and Qatar Airways were not being forthcoming with updates. However, after fighting them, they finally got their accommodation issues sorted out around 12:30am.

This video is going viral on TikTok. Apparently, five Muslim men travelling with Jet2 were refused boarding on their return flight from Gran Canaria to the UK. Naturally, the man filming provides no context whatsoever. He simply claims that Jet2 refused him and his friends entry onto the flight because they're Muslim. I highly doubt that's the full story. There's almost certainly a far more logical explanation that he's conveniently leaving out, whether they arrived late for the flight, failed to comply with airline procedures, or something else entirely. The comments section on TikTok is, let's just say, overwhelmingly on Jet2's side. 🥲

A young lady known as Zee Yola has revealed how they are being treated with discrimination and unfairness at the airport. "As Northerners, we have been treated like we don’t know anything. We were told our flight would take off by 6:30, and we arrived at the airport as early as 4:00 to wait. By 6:30, a plane was brought and we boarded, but we were later asked to come down because the plane’s light had developed a fault. We were told to wait until 9:30 for another aircraft. When the new aircraft arrived, we boarded and everything was almost set, then we were again asked to step down. We were told the plane was not meant for Kano passengers, but only for Lagos passengers. They then told us to return to the faulty aircraft, while the Lagos passengers were allowed to board the better one simply because we are Northerners, as if we have no rights."

According to him, after taking off from Abuja and getting close to Benin, they were informed that the weather was bad, so the flight had to divert and land in Enugu. Later, after landing in Enugu, they were called back to return to Benin before eventually completing the journey. He also claimed that after all the delays and diversions, the situation eventually became a “fuel issue,” adding to the fr√stration of the passengers.

Had one of the most horrifying experiences while traveling from Chandigarh to Jaipur today in Aircraft 6E7261 by IndiGo. We were made to wait for about 10-15 minutes in the queue in the scorching sun and when we entered the Plane, to our shock, the ACs weren't working and the flight took off without the ACs on! Right from the take off to landing, the ACs were off and all the passengers were made to 'Suffer' throughout the journey. No one addressed the serious concern during the flight. In fact, the air hostess ‘generously’ distributed tissue papers to the passengers to wipe off their sweat. Most of the passengers including women and children were restless and agitated, which can be seen clearly in the video. Helpless passengers were fanning themselves with papers to keep cool. It was clearly a major technical issue but the authorities concerned just wanted to mince money that is why the health and comfort of the passengers was put at stake. I urge DGCA Airports Authority of India to take strict action against #IndigoAirlines and the authorities concerned so that the passengers don’t have to go through such traumatic experience again.

Eight black men in total were removed from an American Airlines flight from Phoenix to New York City in January. Here is where things get interesting: The three men who filed the lawsuit didn't even know each other. The men are claiming they were racially discriminated against by the flight attendant who kicked them off. "Y’all just took like eight Black people off the plane," a man said during the incident. After American Airlines was unable to rebook their flights, the men were allowed back on the plane, which they say was very embarrassing.
