@SoftballDown @SoftballRecruit @SBRRetweets @coach_orsburn Just my take..Players who struggle with hitting mechanics really struggle with the mental aspect of hitting. Mechanics breaks down in every player but your mindset should stay focused and positive. Don’t look at it as a negative. Focus more on pitch selection and being on time!!

@SoftballDown @SoftballRecruit @SBRRetweets @coach_orsburn Get into those legs more. Power comes from balance of legs and core. Your core is not very engaged.

@SoftballDown @SoftballRecruit @SBRRetweets @coach_orsburn see ball, hit ball….you’re in your head worrying about mechanics and it’s slowing down your swing…getting caught inside. Hit it up the middle until you find your groove and then worry about pulling it to right field.

@SoftballDown @SoftballRecruit @SBRRetweets @coach_orsburn If your working with the tee position in front middle of plate make sure when you stride your front foot don’t pass the tee- *lengthen stride * load more linear (back ) *keep front hand inside longer front hand only drills *work elbow ,knob, sweet spot 🫶🏼

@SoftballDown @SoftballRecruit @SBRRetweets @coach_orsburn Start from your base, you’re standing up to high, get your feet spread further apart, learn how to ground yourself and use the power of your legs, stay behind the ball. Then work on knob to the ball, your swing needs compaction too long and keep your head stil as u make contact

First of all you have a lot going for you so not much to augment but augment I will, first sit down a little with your hips paying particular attention to your right side, it appears that your tilted forward at address, also spread out just a little more, what this will do when you begin your load onto your left side will dramatically increase the feeling of weight shift at first it might feel a little dramatic but you have to get a better sense of weight shift from front to rear and then conversely from rear to front, lastly lower your hands closer to your chest and slightly towards where the catcher would be, this will allow you to feel more connected and structurally sound with regard to your lower and upper half’s and ultimately move as one unit as apposed to separate movements, keep up the great work and trust your eye hand coordination which I can tell is not your weakness

@SoftballDown @SoftballRecruit @SBRRetweets @coach_orsburn Swing down. Drive your front should down to the ball. Top hand needs to remain top hand throughout the swing.

@SoftballDown @SoftballRecruit @SBRRetweets @coach_orsburn one thing u don't want to do is drill in the muscle memory with wrong mechanics.

@SoftballDown @SoftballRecruit @SBRRetweets @coach_orsburn I think extension drills and coil drills. Work on staying inside and through

@SoftballDown @SoftballRecruit @SBRRetweets @coach_orsburn No way Twitter X will help but. One great drill to get "that feeling" is the step behind. Happy Gilmore style - start behind the tee, focus on your coil and blast away. The crow hop is a good way to find your perfect coil. freeze on a couple then swing away.

@SoftballDown @SoftballRecruit @SBRRetweets @coach_orsburn I would say get your chest down a little more and keep your posture that should help keep you from opening up to early.

@SoftballDown @SoftballRecruit @SBRRetweets @coach_orsburn Try and take real bp, or at least off a machine. You'll be able to tell a lot better how you're swinging rather than hitting off a tee. Just my 2 cents 🤷🏻‍♂️

@SoftballDown @SoftballRecruit @SBRRetweets @coach_orsburn I've got some good news for you. You've got some great tools and the issues that you have with your swing are easy fixes. There are a lot of people chiming in here that are over complicating things. Don't go down that route. I'm happy to send you some video instruction......
