Do you work on paper while using the Vision Pro? If so I'd argue the paper is still superior, and in fact a feature of the pass-through. But I get it, can appreciate changing things up.

I used AI to upscale it, depth-map it, & used the depth map to convert it to 3D SBS, & then converted that to Spatial Video for Apple Vision Pro (MV-HEVC). My son is currently a senior in high school, and my daughter is a sophomore in college. This video has complete spatial depth when viewed in the Apple Vision Pro. Obviously, you can't appreciate that via this post. But it's like I'm there & I can see into this room. ok ya'll convinced me. i'm that guy sitting here in coach on southwest with a giant monitor in front of me, watching a movie overhead. i love this. Observations - nice to be able to use my MacBook keyboard with the display mostly closed, with drinks on my tray table. feels less crowded. - nice to have this "private" screen. no one peeking over my shoulder. - mirrored display looks a LOT bigger in actual use than in this video. it's a big laggy. - the "old" airpods pro work just fine - disney DRM blocks the movie from this screen recording - i let the vision update to visionOS 1.0.2 last night and my battery was down to 50% this morning! :( - i paid for wifi for my MacBook, but the vision can't share it unless I pay for a second device. wish it could! but since i'm mirroring, it's not a big deal - my seat mate said "that's cool". no one else has said anything or appeared to notice.

Vision Pro remains an absolute productivity beast—and since I feel like not enough people realize this yet, I wanted to share one of my favorite workflows when working on my favorite Spatial Computer. When I’m designing, I usually use the ultrawide feature, with sticky notes floating around to track my tasks, a Pomodoro timer to keep me focused, and an app that turns my physical desk into a literal drawing board. I actually get more work done and the best part - I have that same setup wherever I go. I never have to adapt my workflow to the location, which is just super cool. Once you find your ideal workflow, the price tag suddenly doesn’t feel that high anymore.
