April 26 It's critical that you have an accurate assessment of your own capabilities, both good and bad. This is another of the many reasons why competition is so important - because it gives you that assessment with no bullshit, sugar coating, or 30 caliber pencils. The overwhelming majority of people who don't compete think they are way better with a gun than they are - and this is especially true among those who carry as part of their profession. My opinion is that if you carry a gun you owe it to yourself and everyone around you to be extremely good with it. Not just better than the average gun owner, but excellent. Most people who carry do not share this opinion, at least in a way that makes them do anything about it. All the information required is readily available at your finger tips. I realize it takes times to build a house - you don't have to be great today, but actively moving in that direction every day is important. And a lot of people who preach training, don't do it nearly as often or intense as they should. I'm not even thinking of anyone specifically when I say that. Everyone reading this knows if it applies to them or not. I have been just as guilty of it as anyone. Plant Protein is as Good as Animal Protein for Building Muscle? New Study Breakdown! A new study just dropped demonstrating that a plent blend was as good as whey protein at building muscle over 12 weeks in untrained men undergoing a resistance training program. The headline may surprise some of you, but when I read the full study, I was not surprised at all… why? Because the plant blend was matched to whey in leucine and total EAAs. When you equalize the actual anabolic signals, the gap closes — which is exactly what my PhD thesis showed nearly 20 years ago. Study details (PMID: 41059835) • Randomized, controlled trial in untrained men • Whey vs. plant blend (pea + soy + added leucine) • 12-week supervised resistance-training program • Outcomes: quadriceps cross-sectional area (ultrasound), DEXA, lower-body strength • Result: Both groups improved significantly, with no between-group differences in hypertrophy or strength. This is in line with my PhD research which demonstrated that wheat (a poor protein for stimulating muscle protein synthesis) was as good as whey at stimulating MPS when leucine was added to wheat protein to match the leucine content of whey (PMID: 22818257) Important nuance: The plant blend used in this study is not commercially available, and appears that it was formulated + fortified to match whey’s leucine/EAA profile. That’s why it performed similarly, not because all plant proteins are inherently equivalent to whey for anabolism If your plant protein is low in leucine or EAAs… the results won’t look like this. That said, a plant protein sources can still be as anabolic as animal protein sources if their leucine/EAA content is high enough or if you consume enough protein overall

The pilot coordinator in Vlissingen tells me that I have to proceed to the "Wulpen" pilot boat. There are usually two Belgian pilot boats and one Dutch pilot boat available. I take a short walk from our pilot station to the "loodsensteiger," or pilot jetty, which is just down the stairs and across the street. When I board the pilot boat, I report to the skipper by providing my name, the ship I am assigned to, and its origin (North or West). I also inform him of the "sein," or signal, which in this case is "2A," indicating a category 2 vessel (under 150 meters in length overall) bound for Antwerp. The "Wulpen" takes me out to the vessel, where I climb on board. My colleague, who is the sea pilot, hands over the details of the ship along with relevant information regarding traffic. Off we go! I docked in Zandvliet Lock at 09:15 and returned home by 10:00. I am available again at 21:00, which today translates to an immediate phone call for another vessel.

Seeing what people do with them is easily my favorite part of the job. - Agents are not just for engineers! People from every function are now building their own factories. (watch this space at Developer day next week!) - The combination of custom agents with Notion Workers is basically magic! What you can automate is now limited by your own imagination. - Control matters! Context, permissions, and cost came up a lot, and we shipped major improvements within the alpha. - On cost, people love the ability to experiment with different models, and swap out more expensive models with open-weight ones, where it makes sense. - Usage-based pricing is new for Notion, but becoming the standard for AI. It fits the idea of intelligence as a service. Really grateful for all the feedback. It directly shaped what we shipped. Keep it coming, my DMs are open.

No one witnessed Tyler Robinson. No video or any witness testimony of him, a gun, or any forensic evidence at all. Except dna on a rifle he owned that wasn’t tested for residue and did not alert any of the dogs. The footage never shows a gun or a clear shot of his face. It appears to be multiple people or he changes outfits. There is no evidence matching any bullet to the gun they claim was used. The only “evidence” they have are text messages that don’t sound real that have not been made available to the defense to analyze. Text messages can be sent by anyone. That isn’t evidence. And a confession that doesn’t exist and a claim his mother recognized him from the footage that we now can all see. That statement has not been made available and probably doesn’t exist, and it doesn’t matter. The video doesn’t show any crime and it’s not clear enough for any positive ID. There are mountains of circumstantial evidence that turning point USA conspired to either kill Charlie Kirk or cover up his murder. There is an end times cult that is convinced that in order to bring back Jesus they need the US to lose to Iran and the world to turn on Israel and burn. That’s a fact btw. No one witnessed Tyler Robinson. No video or any witness testimony of him, a gun, or any forensic evidence at all. Except dna on a rifle he owned that wasn’t tested for residue and did not alert any of the dogs. The footage never shows a gun or a clear shot of his face. It appears to be multiple people or he changes outfits. There is no evidence matching any bullet to the gun they claim was used. The only “evidence” they have are text messages that don’t sound real that have not been made available to the defense to analyze. Text messages can be sent by anyone. That isn’t evidence. And a confession that doesn’t exist and a claim his mother recognized him from the footage that we now can all see. That statement has not been made available and probably doesn’t exist, and it doesn’t matter. The video doesn’t show any crime and it’s not clear enough for any positive ID. There are mountains of circumstantial evidence that turning point USA conspired to either kill Charlie Kirk or cover up his murder. There is an end times cult that is convinced that in order to bring back Jesus they need the US to lose to Iran and the world to turn on Israel and burn. That’s a fact btw. Studying poker is boring. Running sims, staring at charts, building ranges - it's a necessity if you want to get better, but it's not why I fell in love with the game. I love playing, meeting new people, battling others while navigating the rhythm and complexity of the game. But I struggled to stay disciplined with my studying, while still chasing the goal of becoming one of the best. So 4 years ago, I started VCamp. I asked my coach Andrew Moreno if he'd be down to do a test an idea - a poker camp that didn't feel like studying. We ran the first one in NY with 8 campers. Fast forward to now - it's become one of the most fulfilling things I do each year. We've built a fully immersive poker retreat: elite coaches, private chefs, and a beautiful mansion where everything is taken care of so we can focus purely on the game. This year, it's bigger than ever with two mansions, four coaches, and just 30 campers. The poker camp I always wished existed... now it does.
