Current Govt Economic Policy is basically tax the shit out of people, and after that, to keep the economy running, encourage them to spend by taking loans with reduced interest rates.

Bank deposit interest is treated as revenue by the government and is subject to taxation. If regulators freeze or seize banks, customers may struggle to recover deposits exceeding 5 lakhs. Customers with more than 5 lakhs in their accounts could face challenges if the bank is frozen.

Not all people happy tax being deducted at source as it takes the financial year completion to claim it back through tax filing - the delay can be a few months. Instead tax must be paid after filing the tax return. Govt who is greedy require their coffer full first and refund later

BREAKING - SHOCKING - CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION: TD Bank (TD Bank) Pleads Guilty to Laundering Millions for Drug Cartels in Colombia: Justice Department Imposes $3 Billion Fine as Bank Employees Become Criminals Themselves, Using ATM Debit Cards to Take Their Cuts and Accept Bribes NOTE: TD Bank not only turned a blind eye to illegal financial activity but actively enabled it, creating an environment where criminals could launder millions of dollars with ease. Shockingly, several bank employees themselves became complicit in these crimes, accepting bribes and facilitating illegal transactions. Over $670 million in drug money, including proceeds tied to narcotics trafficking in Colombia, flowed through TD Bank accounts, all while the bank failed to enforce anti-money laundering measures. The Justice Department's historic $3 billion penalty and criminal charges reflect the severity of these systemic failures, marking TD Bank's actions as some of the most egregious in U.S. financial history. Authorities said, "TD Bank created an environment that allowed financial crime to flourish by making its services convenient for criminals." "This is the largest penalty ever under the Bank Secrecy Act and the first time the Justice Department has assessed a daily fine against a bank." "TD Bank knowingly made its services convenient for criminals, becoming the largest U.S. bank in history to plead guilty to money laundering." "TD Bank failed to monitor $18.3 trillion in customer activity, allowing three money laundering networks to transfer over $670 million." "The bank became complicit in laundering drug money to Colombia, including $39 million tied to narcotics trafficking." "Employees at many levels knew of illegal activity but failed to act, with one store manager remarking, 'You guys really need to shut this down. Lol.'" "Despite glaring red flags, the bank did not file a suspicious activity report until law enforcement alerted them to the money laundering." "TD Bank prioritized profits over compliance, leading to pervasive anti-money laundering failures over nearly a decade." "Criminal proceeds from drug trafficking and other illegal activities flowed freely through TD Bank, facilitated by employees who took bribes." "In one money laundering scheme, TD Bank employees conspired to open accounts used to transfer tens of millions of dollars in illicit funds to Colombia."

I have a few questions for the MD of Bank of Baroda, Mr. Debadatta: Your bank’s logo is called the Baroda Sun. A sun that is supposed to eliminate darkness and bring light. Your bank claims to offer a rewarding career to its employees... So if there’s still any life left in this so-called sun, then please answer the following: Why was so much pressure put on your employee, Mr. Shiv Shankar Mitra, that he was forced to take the decision of opting for VRS? And even after submitting his VRS application, why couldn’t this Baroda Sun bring light into his life? What pushed him to the point where he ended his life? You speak of removing darkness and spreading light. Then why did some of your own officials together destroy the life and hopes of Shiv Shankar Mitra and his family? Will your bank now take strict action against those who mentally tortured an honest employee to the point of suicide? And I also have a question for the Union AIBOBOA Is the union only meant to collect monthly subscriptions, organize meetings at tourist destinations, and then post those meeting photos on WhatsApp groups and on X (Twitter)? Till 10 AM on 19th July 2025, not a single association of Bank of Baroda posted anything about this incident. The General Secretary of AIBEA CH VENKATACHALAM - who calls himself the 'My friendship with humanity' - has time to post political opinions online, But when a bank officer dies by suicide due to toxic work culture, he doesn’t have a moment to write even two lines about it?
