When we rolled out Sprite Berry Blast, we designed a new sip lid so you’d taste the cold foam and the Berry Sprite in the same sip. (It’s our #1 flavor, and it slaps 🔥) What we didn’t expect was people asking for a straw with a lid built not to need one. A lot of drink specialists ingredients aren’t proprietary. Dutch Bros uses Rich’s Soft Top. It’s a great product. That’s what we used for cold foam. Historically, cold foam is mainly put on coffee drinks. In the first days of test markets, the volcanoes started🌋. Customers weren’t given a straw, but some asked anyway. The foam sealed in the CO₂ from the fizz (effervescence). Pressure built underneath. Straw goes in, there goes your drink 💥. McD went back fast and made a cold foam for carbonated drinks that wouldn’t trap that pressure, just in case someone still wants a straw. And now you know soft 🥤

Finally got some time to work on Three.js Water Pro again. Testing out the new foam trails system tonight. Each buoyant object has its own foam generator so you can customize the foam trail for each object (size, decay, opacity, etc.). Foam system now includes wave crests, surface, shoreline, and trails! Last feature remaining for the V2 release is sea spray. This one has proven to be a bit tricky so I'm still testing out different solutions.

Mauvika's Sword from Genshin Impact was one of my favorite projects this year! We spent 2 weeks on it, made completely out of EVA foam and has over 300 built-in LEDs! Obviously I had to recreate the swords burning effect and LED strips and LED foam are always a perfect combo for that! Painting it with airbrush colors was also super fun and we are so proud of the final result! Let's hope for more sparkling light up prop projects in 2026! Genshin Impact #mauvika Genshin Impact DE
