Cybertrucks get stuck in the snow so easily. Everyone knows this. Completely unusable in the winter time.

People get exposed to stupid FUD videos like a truck stuck on a snow drift or a diesel bro shearing off the back end and they lose all ability to think critically.

Yeah, they always tell me they've seen videos of them stuck. I say, yeah I've seen plenty of videos of lots of trucks stuck. But honestly, it probably gets around better than any other stock truck on the snow and ice because of the crazy his traction control EVs grant you.

It's amazing. Amazing traction control. You can also change the front/rear bias 0 - 100% with a slider.

Yes, I've definitely done this. Makes you feel like a kid with his license for his first winter again. I put the traction control on the lowest setting too when I do it 🤣

@theejoeydee Yeah in Baja mode you have like 3 settings and one is essentially nearly off. So I go into snow/gravel aka slide that to off and then do like a 10/90 front/rear bias.

I haven’t. Water trucks for the cows are two wheel drive. There’s no use or practical purpose for that sharp sided junk on a real farm. If you want one that’s your business but it’s super cringe.

Best part about not having an electric vehicle on a farm is a readily available supply of fuel at ant point on the farm. Know what isn’t around most the property? Plugs…

😁 Probably! I’ve had KO2s a couple times and they’ve been great year round for me. The stock CT goodyears are awesome 3 seasons, but I need a 12 month tire or a winter set… and I don’t really want to swap back and forth. BFGs were good for me on both 4Runner and Jeep. Now time for the Cybertruck!

Even with proper winter tires? Just wondering what kind of tires are on it? Is it too heavy?

I’m on highway tires. Michelin Defenders. It doesn’t get stuck in snow unless you’re retarded.

I think some people honestly believe they don’t need winter tires in the winter. Just because it’s a truck and has all wheel drive doesn’t suddenly make your summer tires grip on icy roads. And then they post videos of them getting stuck and then blame the Cybertruck.

@rhensing Michelin CrossClimate2 are all-season and amazing. I won't buy my Nokian studded winter tires again.

CrossClimate 2 are actually my favourite all-season tires. Great in the wet and slush. If you barely get any snow, highly recommended. But being in Canada right next to Lake Ontario, where we have the tendency to travel through 2 feet+ of snow during rush hour in the morning, I can’t not get winter tires, especially when my car insurance is lower when I claim I use winter tires in the winter. If you don’t often run into deep snow, stick with the CrossClimate 2. If you live way up north, and you’re not allowed Snow Chains or Studded Tires in your area, get the X-Ice. Honestly, if my car insurance didn’t lower with winter tires, I’d go back to CrossClimate 2.

I mean, TBF I did get stuck here following cat tracks at the top of Wolf Creek Pass last winter, carrying a full load that I had to unload to self-rescue.

They're even more horrible when you put better tires on them.

@lucie_r27 We live on a steep mountain road in Alaska & my Cybertruck never gets stuck! Studded Winter tires make all the difference. Plenty of power and FSD handles the unmarked, snow covered road very well

My only complaint is the slow charging in winter. And it’s across th board on my 3 y and ct. other then that I’ve yet to get the ct stuck. Keep in mind I have a solid axle swapped yota with beadlocks and 40s that I torture, so I’m definitely not babying the CT.

Runs/climbs like a mountain goat if you have the right tires. Try and navigate on snow/ice with summer tires and you won’t get far.

Not quite. Also, tires are pretty important depending on where you are and the type of snow. People who hate the vehicle will just continue to show one or two Cybertrucks that get stuck, and make broad statements.
