Cycleway 4 has multiple floating bus stops. However since the introduction of the cycleway, there has been a dramatic increase in usage, esp with children - cycling and scooting as well as less able. I can’t imagine pushing them back into the road to mix with vehicles.

I must apologise, especially to those against floating bus stops. I was cycling along without paying attention and almost sent a guy to the almost hospital in the almost ambulance. A sobering reminder that the most deadly infrastructure can't compete with an inattentive cyclist

This driver stopped in the road with engine running, to interact with their phone. This footage was submitted to the Metropolitan Police at the time, but as there has been no action taken by the Met, I'm sharing the video. Driver only moved when a car entered the road & beeped at them.

I personally detest cyclists in the roads as much as anyone but this was an IQ test and the driver failed it. 72 year old Jerry Wayne Ross of Woodstock, Georgia has been arrested for hitting a cyclist and leaving the scene. When police arrived to question him, Ross acknowledged the accident but claimed the cyclists were in the roadway and blamed them for the collision. Mr. Ross has since been charged with aggravated assault, hit-and-run, reckless driving, aggressive driving, and failure to maintain a safe distance from a bicycle. BREAKING: An Amuria High School bus was involved in a road accident this morning along the Tirinyi–Mbale Road in Namalemba after colliding with a truck parked by the roadside. The bus was reportedly carrying students and was heading to Iganga. The number of casualties has not yet been confirmed. Our thoughts are with everyone affected.😭💔
