Cycling infrastructure should be consistent and safe. Part-time lanes create confusion and put cyclists and drivers at risk. Full-time, segregated lanes encourage more people to ride. For kids to cycle safely, they need routes free from cars and buses. 🙏

3 Hispanic men broke into a house in Aurora, CO by pretending to be Amazon workers. The mother was home with her kids at the time and says these men hurt her kids during the robbery. With the accents they have, I’m willing to bet they’re all illegal immigrants. People need to be vigilant and Amazon should stop letting drivers use their own cars because it adds to the confusion of who’s a legitimate delivery person and who might be a criminal. Deliveries should only be done in Amazon delivery vehicles for the safety of both drivers and homeowners.

🚨Congestion Pricing and NYC’s Self-Inflicted Wound: Are Bus and Bike Lanes Making Things Worse? As a lifelong New Yorker and daily driver, I’m seeing our city’s streets become more congested, less safe, and now, more costly—all thanks to street design choices that haven’t delivered on their promises. With congestion pricing on the way, drivers will soon have to pay extra for navigating roads that are bottlenecked by bike lanes, bus lanes, and pedestrian plazas. These were meant to relieve traffic and improve safety but have done the opposite. Areas like 6th Avenue, Lower Manhattan, and the West Village have seen car lanes disappear, replaced by underused bike lanes and additional bus lanes, making traffic worse. Parking is now dangerously close to bike lanes, where drivers risk being struck as they exit their vehicles. Meanwhile, bike lanes—used mainly in the warmer months—eat up space all year, adding to traffic problems without a year-round payoff. And for pedestrians, the situation isn’t much better. Crosswalks have become hazardous, with cyclists often ignoring stoplights and pedestrians’ right-of-way. What was meant to be a safer design has instead put walkers in harm’s way. Then there are the pedestrian plazas, such as those in Times Square and along Broadway. Intended as public spaces, they’ve funneled more traffic into surrounding streets and often become gathering points for crime, drug use, and loitering. What was supposed to create safe communal spaces has instead added congestion and security concerns to nearby areas. All this comes at a time when New Yorkers are already stretched thin. Between high taxes, soaring costs, and low wages, most can barely afford to live here. Adding a new congestion fee feels like punishment for a problem we didn’t create. So, what do you think? And YET another cycle path opens in Cork! This one connects Glanmire to the Carrigtwohill greenway and will soon(ish) also connect all the way to the City. When cycling is safe and segregated like this, so many more people will leave the car at home. Nice one Cork City Council

The reason there will be no ‘fuel crisis’ in the Netherlands is that every town, city, & village in the land is connected by fully-segregated cycle lanes. It’s possible for the Dutch to simply stop driving while fuel is short and prices are high. That’s real energy resilience.

Been wanting to film one of these because it happens so consistently and highlights a subtle but significant part of the V14 brain. Not only does V14 recognize collapsing lanes way sooner than V13 when it is in them and needs to get out, it also recognizes them when it is not in them, and is aware that vehicles inside of them need to get over. Here’s one of the many times I’ve witnessed V14 keeping space open for cars it knows will have to switch lanes.

Last post on this I'd appreciate if people took the time to read it and share it because I think when people listen they deserve credit but TRNSMT have done more than that I complained about the disabled situation TRNSMT Festival and I think the fact that they listened and made changes is the kind of progressive attitude we need towards disabled facilities. I wasn't complaining to come across as some sort of Karen, it just genuinely would've been a health and safety risk. So I think it's only right that I commend them for the work they've done with the platform this year. The platform has many key things that I think make it the best at any festival I've been at. 1.Clear marked out lanes for people to move out to the toilets and back to their seat to avoid congestion and create space 2. A bar for disabled people beside the platform this is amazing. 3. Toilets well spaced out as well as a changing places toilets for people who more severe disabilities beside the platform. 4. Plenty of space in the toilets. 5. It's huge and you feel really close to the stage

From my last trip to the USA in 2024. We should stay in one lane and follow each other with a safe gap, unless you are making a turn ahead. This is called lane discipline, not rocket science. We don't need to constantly cut lanes and overtake each other like a race. It's a public road not a race track... #RoadSafety
