To The General Manager North Eastern Railway Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh **Subject: Urgent request for permanent solution to water logging at Chhapra Junction** Respected Sir/Madam, I would like to draw your kind attention towards the serious water logging problem at Chhapra Junction, especially during the monsoon season. Chhapra Junction is a very important railway station and a lifeline for thousands of passengers travelling between Bihar and several major metropolitan cities across the country. Every day, a large number of passengers depend on this railway junction for their journey to cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and other major destinations. The recurring water logging at the station and its surrounding areas causes significant inconvenience to passengers. It also creates difficulties for elderly people, women, children and passengers carrying luggage. Prolonged accumulation of water can further create sanitation and safety concerns. I therefore request the concerned railway authorities to kindly conduct an immediate inspection of the drainage and water disposal system at Chhapra Junction and take necessary corrective measures. A permanent solution should be developed so that the problem does not continue every monsoon. Chhapra Junction is an important connectivity point for the people of Bihar and deserves proper passenger infrastructure and effective monsoon management.
