If this one game was in vacuum, then yes, it would be idiotic, especially given Dabo’s accomplishments. But it’s not in a vaccuum. It’s in the context of consistent decline over the last six years. In that time, for better or for worse, college sports has been radically changed. Dabo can still coach. His teams are still good. But he has not adapted to how rosters are constructed. His teams have gone from dominant to very good to pedestrian. Clemson will never be terrible under Dabo. It they will never return to the top tier of the sport until either Dabo accepts its different sport today or Clemson moves on. I hope Dabo can accept that things have changed. Accepting radical change means either adapting radically or moving on. I hope he does this before he soils an incredible legacy.

He's young but has always been extremely fair to Dabo and the program over the past few tough years. It was a much softer question than what some of Dabo's ex-players may have asked based on their harsh commentary on the current team. Dabo came off poorly here.
