Dad how good was Yadier Molina? Dad:

@djy2500 This is still one of the greatest things I’ve ever seen. I understand it’s spring training. But you’re a young kid and you’re going to sit there and be cocky against one of the best ever? And he says try it again! And then it’s not even close. Amazing.

@djy2500 It’s James Bond type stuff. Can’t stop watching it

On a breaking ball too

Insane on any pitch but breaking ball makes it even more impressive

as a Reds fan I hated him but damn he was good.

Die hard Cubs fan here. Can’t stand the Cardinals. Molina was awesome…there’s just no way around this…great baller!

One of the best ever

You think so? I have a hard time putting him in the top 10 but I do see why he’s so loved

@JustwinDave Skip the article, just check the graphs. Especially the last 2

@nut_history @JustwinDave One thing to add to your list, games when Yadi caught and called the games, the pitchers ERA was a full point lower than in games when Yadi rested and didn't catch with the same pitchers on the team.

@nut_history @JustwinDave I figured the 4 graphs and article was good enough, it was late, I didn't want to fall into the rabbit hole of Yadi defensive stats. When you grow up watching @STLWizard (who played with some good catchers) & Yadi (& Jimmy baseball and Willie McGee in center) & Albert at 1st...

@nut_history @JustwinDave @STLWizard And Tommy Herr, & Terry Pendleton, Ray Lankford, Scott Rollen, Will Clark, McGwire, Renteria, Daryl Porter, the 2 fuya wrong year cars HOF, Brian Jordan & Silent George 2 of 4. Same year #Albert & #Yadi eligible. Bad timing for BJ and George.

@JoeInTheKnow4 @nut_history @STLWizard And Boyer, McCarver, Flood, Brock, Maxvill, Javier, etc

Dad how dumb was Jose Siri?**

That Good!!!

and still the 2nd best catcher in his state.

I’m afraid to ask…

salvatore perez with the royals.

My favorite player and one of the best!

@Buster_ESPN So good he had to cheat….

@mmg49072 The best son. (With tears in my eyes) 😂

Priceless

First ballot hall of famer

Never was a fan of his, but this right here is peak pro athlete from a position that you rarely see enough credit given…sick stuff

Sick

So f’ing good.

Yadios!

@Buster_ESPN The amount of times Molina nabbed base runners on low breaking balls is insane lol

ball got to 2nd with enough time to make a sandwich before making the tag

Would've been even greater had Molina gave him the "Mutombo Wave" right back.

On a breaking ball as well

Got news today, we are retaining our current coach. However, just maybe we can get Molina in a couple years or less. Go Cards!

I saw this play live. Well TV live, not in person live. I guess I should say in realtime and not as a highlight.

@Buster_ESPN Phenomenal

Ask your mom, she's been all about him since 2004. Actual conversation with son in 2018.

Never gets old.

The best!

#MiamiBadBoy

He was a dog

Yadia was Great, I loved seeing the look on the faces of the ones he threw out at first 😎👍👍

@JohnDenton555 Never gets old watching this video
