I wanted to showcase some of the sprite work i did for my Lost lands set. Made some new stuff and reworked a LOT of old stuff 😎 i definitely underestimated the amount of work. My full set is about 43 songs, so that means 43 individual visuals. it took me about 2 weeks just to adjust everything i had for the big mainstage screen. Definitely learned a lot in the process and really excited to work on the new show. Im limited to 4 here if u wanna see more there’s 12 on my instagram 😘

I remember working in New York in my mid to late 20s… and the summer would come around… those incredible sunny days in the city… ton of people walking around enjoying themselves… you would only get a glimpse of it at lunch when you split off the desk to wait in line at Dos Toros or the corner deli. Then you’d go right back to your desk to jam on some financial model or some IPO or secondary trade or some mega project the bank as you all doing. And I remember saying to myself… there’s absolutely no way I will be working inside an office on nice days ever again in my life. And that was, in a way, the true beginning.

$I've got a situation and I'm asking for help from experts in firearms and ballistics. Two shots were fired - nearly a minute apart - while I was working on my car. Each shot had two distinct audible components - a crack and a bang with only a tiny fraction of time between them. My impression in the moment is that it was literally right behind me, and the crack startled me. In the moment I thought I may have heard an impact somewhere beside me. The video is clipped and cropped to protect my security as much as possible. So, my question: is there any reasonable or harmless explanation for this or did somebody take shots at me? I’m on my flight to Seattle. When I wake up I ask the flight attendant to bring me my meal because I was asleep during breakfast… Yall why TF does it look like someone bit or cut my chicken sausage?! && why would the FA bring it to me cold and hard as a rock?! For the past few months, Heritage has had protesters outside of our building every Monday afternoon. Today’s crowd is smaller than usual, but the profanities and demonic behavior continues nonetheless. To the protestors outside our building, know this: you’re pathetic. Your profanities do not intimidate us and your noise is not distracting to our work. In fact, your protests are fuel for the fire the drives us to do the hard work needed to save this country. So the next time you flip me or my colleagues off, yell into your microphone “f*** Christianity,” or blow an air horn, remember that your time and breath is wasted.

I didn't hear Penny call my name at the finish line. And tjo shem she tried. I think I know why I didn't hear her shout my name.....My goal was an 11:15 - 11:20 finish. We started in batches of 3 and I was in the 3rd wave. Out of habit, I switched my Garmin off twice at a water point and forgot to switch it back on for a while. My timing was off and I had no idea what time it was. I wasn't worried as I knew I was comfortably ahead of cut-off. At 72 kms, I heard a fellow runner tell another that "We have 2 and a half hours left to finish. We will come in at 11:10." Silly me didn't realize that these were group 2 runners and they had started earlier. Which meant I had even more time to finish and I'd caught up with many Group 2 runners. I had judged myself according to their progress. As I came closer to the finish line I saw the Group 3 clock say 10:58:22. I was stunned, mentally frozen so I switched off and chased my bronze medal with 1 minute 7 seconds to spare. A 10:58:53 finish was satisfying.

So, to share the details of my Daddy Daughter Dance experience. Mila LOVED everything about the day, and the dance. She loved her wrist corsage, which was expensive as hell ($35). She never left me, not once, even when her friends showed. We all danced together. For 90 minutes straight. She kept asking me to pick her up and dance with her, which is tough because she weighs about 50 pounds. My back is on fire. But we had a ball. This is her birthday weekend and we kicked it off in style.

This was her crazy ass, evil, racist friend after blocking my car into my driveway as I was moving out of my old apartment last month. Is Static Drilling the Kata of Jiu Jitsu? I have never done Kata, so I do not have a strong opinion on its value. It does look boring to me, though. Static drilling has some value, but not as much as live drills using the Constraints-Led Approach (CLA). If someone shows me a new move or solution, I will statically drill it 2 or 3 times. Then I will try to incorporate it in some live training. Static drilling makes up less than 1% of my training now. CLA will build your grappling skills faster and is a lot more fun.

Throwback to my last expedition to the Richat structure, where untold numbers of Acheulean hand axes lie scattered, each one an estimated 500,000 years old and moulded by the hands of homo erectus, where salt streaks across the land and if you look closely shells lie embedded in said salt, and everywhere you look a landscape as unfamiliar to me as mars itself. Was it Atlantis? Or was it a half million year old “proto-city” not of homo sapiens but of homo erectus? How did the salt get there? When did the salt get there? Why are there marine organisms? How old are the marine organisms? How did they get there? These questions deserve answers. Perhaps some are already answered. Regardless the area deserves more study.

My 15 year old and I are on the way to Waco to run a 31 mile ultra we haven’t trained for. My car is driving me so I can load up on carbs. My son’s longest run is 8 miles and my last run was 4 miles, 7 months ago. If it were a 31 mile hike with some running mixed in no one would look twice. That’s basically what this is tbh. Ultras aren’t about running fast. They’re about running as slowly as you can bear for as long as you can. It’s frog in boiling water pain. Very gradual. What’s the bigger risk: an injury, or going 80 years without ever realizing your potential? You can literally just do things. (This is the best running song in the world btw. That + Coke will carry me).

Usually I’m ahead of the curve when critically assessing a person, I even get push back from some of my most ardent followers. Although pushback doesn’t stop my pursuit of truth. In the end, most if not all, come around and see what I saw albeit a little late. Personally I don’t know 💯 percent why a person is no good. I have this gift of sizing people up almost immediately with little data. When my red alert radar antenna spikes to a ten, many times I’m not sure why yet but the reason eventually materializes. Personally I watched Megyn Kelly with a renewed optimism that she had truly shed her old skin and emerged as a committed moderate conservative. After all I believe in redemption. Like many of you, our optimism was short lived. Others it took a little longer to wake up. All good because we welcome everyone and anyone that understands whether the realization hit yesterday or a year ago, or longer.
