Dads for decades have been ruining Saturday mornings.

Oh man, that brings back memories. When I was a young adult, my dad used to let my friends and I drink and raise hell at our house, because he said it was "better than running the streets all night". The next morning he'd wake everyone up and put us to work... bright and early.

Huh....my Dad just beat me...

So much easier to just say OK, and get'er done. As a kid, we had 3 acres of lake prop to take care of. No workie, no funny.

My dad started a family business when my brother and I were 16 and 14, respectively. When I was 17 we would stay out till 2 or 3 in the morning on Friday and Saturday nights. My Dad would come into our rooms and try to get us up. Not much success. One time after failing to get us up he went down to the barn and shoe one of the horse' (he was a amateur farrier) and would let our dogs (German Shepherd and Lab) chew on the clipped hooves that had been removed. Then he would let the dogs into the house and they would bound up the stairs and proceed to lick us in the faces. That got us up

Would have been funnier if Mom was waiting right outside the door with more tools.
