Aegon will literally do all of those things throughout the series. That’s the point. There’s no good and bad side here. There’s just two shades of grey.

Aegon is no good person at all, I know that but daemon is worse. and no aegon won't kill children in the dance nor will he shock helaena or mutilate smallfolk or neglect his children.

I don't think we saw him having children fight, it was just speculation, his character in S2 prove otherwise, Tom also said he doesn't know that his bastard exist anyway. WAS, character can be redeemable and regret their past and wrong doings, that makes them more human.

I really liked how they differentiated Aegon from Joffrey this episode I thought they gave him many moments where Joffrey would've been nasty and made Aegon much kinder instead

Yeah he's way different than joffrey, despite his childish irresponsible behavioural Aegon is willing to fight and to earn people's love and respect, he's not completely a monster, he can feel guilt and have softer side to him.
