VALIDATOR PROPOSAL

Nice poll dude... You just lost the trust of every other node operator... Try to imagine not having the millions of $DAG you have and working your ass off in the community to help other node operators out + having the monthly costs of the node. Thanks a lot! 👎

deleted my previous comments. I don't think base rewards should be drastically lowered and I don't think delegations are votes from the community on who is or isn't deadweight. I have been making graphics for 4 years that have been freely shared with the community to help grow the community and I hardly have any 'votes' compared to the people you showed. I do agree that there are probably a decent amount of people who don't contribute a ton other than validating but that was the whole point wasn't it? Decentralization. Running my node wouldn't be cost effective if I had to rely on 5% commission on 300k dag staked to my node. I get the idea, but I don't think it would play out well.

This isn't the answer. First, base node rewards have been cut in half at least. They certainly have not gone up. This also seems extremely harsh. Are you just calling people who sell dead weight/leeches or those that aren't out promoting dag on social media as well? I see people in discord everyday working hard to get their node up. Maintaining the node is not passive. Also. I haven't sold one token ever. I also don't have time or desire to market dag full time. Their true target is Enterprise/federal, not retail. I help in comments in discord and x when I can and have spent lots of time helping team troubleshoot issues on paca claims, dtms, nodes, etc. none of that is seen and I don't need any recognition for this. Also, I haven't seen the team give their 6 month update on the teams selling of recently unlocked tokens for team incentives, marketing, etc. I don't recall the amount but it was a lot. Finally, if people want to run a node and sell, that is their choice, who the hell am I to say that is not ok. I work full time, I coach, have kids, and I am doing this for hopefully some college funding one day and some extra "passive income." Do you plan on not selling tokens ever? I am sure you will one day. Why is that the only way? Honestly really surprised by this harsh take. Oh, and if nodes are truly down/offline for a long time they get removed. Let's let this new metanomicss play out. You're suggestion really only seems to favor those that are active on social media or very visible on discord, and these people are already getting rewarded by the high delegated staking numbers, so it seems to be working.

You've lost my respect today dude. You're an insider who is inciting anyone who doesn't fit your criteria of a 'worthwhile' node op and describing them as 'dead weight.' Thus is not @Conste11ation is about and I suggest @BenJorgensen considers taking you off the payroll.

This is no secret or only a Constellation problem. I’ve seen this same thing on other networks. The problem is not the people, is the way the incentives are created. It’s human nature. You open a door to something good, all kinds of ideas and desires will come through the door. How to fix it? You already said it. Gamification and ensuring those that do the most get the reward based on their support and desire to see the project succeed. Those that don’t care about the network will weed themselves out.

was just getting conversation started....People are being shortsighted and the fact is being a validator right now is still really profitable guaranteed

This is a poor take. Not everyone has the time to 'do the work.' For some, just running a node is work enough. Also nothing is stopping delegators from dumping. Be careful guys, Dagnum is working towards centralisation which is the antithesis of what @Conste11ation is about.

This is such a horrible take Node operators have, by definition of being selected, proved commitment to this network If you think them dumping their rewards is causing pressure, you wait until the delegated staking unlock occurs Don’t hate the player, hate the game 1/2
