So a core issues I see with a lot of crypto games is: No in game peer to peer economy. (ie. The game Devs make all the $$ off the items and you buy from them not other players) Couple of things I wanted to experiment with, in regards to on chain gaming is the peer to peer economy. So the way my team set it up, is you mine the token in game, but you sell the items peer to peer in SOL. (see video for a demo) This gives you two different ways to play to earn, you can farm items, from bosses and loot boxes, and sell them to players for solana:So11111111111111111111111111111111111111112 , then other players can buy them and use them to mine the token, and sell the token to traders who will speculate on the price. Or you can just buy the loot boxes, and use the items to farm the token. This should help with the sell pressure, because before the game flow was: Buy item (in token, From devs) --->farm a ton of token---> Sell token to recoup cost of item. New flow is : Player opens loot boxes (paid in token)/ Player Plays game (in game token sinks) ---> gets item ---Lists item--> other player buy Item (From players, In SOL) ----Farms token---> sells token. Now the equation is if the loot box-player spent more game tokens to get the item compared to what he gets for in sol, and it keeps more money in the in game economy, and the market will fluctuate more based on the price of the in game token. So players who play and are "locked in" can make money off arbing and this services the "trader" archetype of player, which I feel is the major player type in web3-games. (also the token name is just a test token so dont buy random shit on pump fun, thats just using the name)

The SAROS story controversy further seperates many sheep and insecure tourists from the actual gamers passionate about gaming and who respect nuanced art. 1. SAROS is a supremely GAMEPLAY focused game, and the gameplay is exceptional. There's actually not a huge amount of story in it. You get sparse sprinkles of story here and there, but it's usually vague, infrequent and takes a complete backseat to the gameplay. So people complaining about its story are missing the forest for the trees about the kind of game this even is. 2. The overwhelming majority of the game the story actually follows the exact cookie cutter bland, 'man has love interest he's trying to save' plot thread that is trite and that so many of the haters wanted. It's not till the very end that you get the twist and curveball that not all was what it seems, and all I can say is thank heavens it did. The twist that Arjun isn't just another brooding, stoic, gruff bad ass good guy hero, and that Nitya isn't just a damsel that needed saving, but was instead escaping him and facing acceptance, loneliness and purpose challenges of her own, is one of the more interesting and thought provoking aspects to the story and to their characterisation. Prior to that, if anything they're both a bit dull and been there done that. After the twist, where you find out he's actually flawed, has a history of debauchery, drunken escapades, guilt, internal conflict, anger management, a darker past and so on, there's layers to unravel and moral conundrums to explore. But I guess that sort of thing takes too much mental maturity for tourists and snowflakes to contend with. 3. As I covered before, anti-hero villain playable male main characters in games aren't actually common. I had to go back 28 AAA single player releases (not including remasters/remakes) to find the last I could remember where you had to play a potential bad guy, which was Alan from Alan Wake II (though there's moral abiguity there) which released back in 2023, so the haters are complaining about something exceedingly rare. 4. Imagine watching a single clip or few of the ending of a show instead of the entire show itself; missing all context, characterisation, build up, insight, developments etc throughout, and thinking that was enough for you to judge the shows story or the entire show lol. No logical or well adjusted person would seek to judge narratives in art in this way, and yet that's what many of these Karens do. We should not be giving value to the opinions of these types of people. ---- Ultimately, haters are showing themselves up yet again, and each time come off seeming more and more like detatched tourists who aren't truly passionate about art or gaming, only having their extremely narrow preferences regurgitated and constantly pandered to. And frankly, they're incredibly boring. #PS5Pro gameplay video. #SAROS #PS5

You can't compare Cyberpunk 2077 launch to GTA 6 and here's exactly why Cyberpunk 2077 was the CDPR's first installment to feature a futuristic city with tons of NPCs and fast moving cars, something which was never done before on Witcher games. The gameplay video from Cyberpunk 2077 shown off in 2019 had a clear text showing "work in progress - does not represent the final look of the game" After the launch disaster of Cyberpunk 2077, Marcin Iwiński also explained that the reason the game had so many bugs is that the game was designed for PC first in mind, then scaled down to consoles that still had a hard drive (PS4 and Xbox One) an extremely difficult task on its own, combined with the fact that the game development progress took a major hit during the pandemic. Rockstar Games on the other hand has a much different engine and experience working on large scale open world game filled with tons of NPCs and fast moving cars, including the fact that they're developing this game for current gen consoles first, then scaling it up for a PC release not vice versa. Are we guys suddenly forgetting the fact that Rockstar Games managed to get GTA V running on a PS3 console which had 256mb of VRAM and 256mb of RAM at that time? The reason Rockstar Games has shown zero gameplay of GTA 6 is because historically they save the gameplay showcase before the game launches, GTA 6 Trailer 2 came out in 2025 and all footage for that Trailer was captured on a base PS5 with a mix of gameplay and cutscenes. They'll obviously show off more gameplay on August 27th, but comparing Cyberpunk 2077 to GTA 6 isn't exactly fair for both companies. On one hand, it was CDPR's first time making that kind of genre of a game and on the other hand, it isn't Rockstar Games first time making a Grand Theft Auto game.

🚨🗣️😡 #EXTORTION — Jon Rahm TEE’S OFF on the DP World Tour with explosive quotes from Hong Kong, accusing the league of extorting its own players. “I don't know what game they're trying to play right now, but it just seems like in a way they're using us to -- they're using our impact in tournaments and finding us and trying to benefit both ways from what we have to offer, and it's just in a way they're extorting players like myself and young players that have nothing to do with the politics of the game…. “…I don't like what they're doing currently with the contract they're having us sign. I don't like the conditions….” “They're asking me to play a minimum of six events, and they dictate where two of those have to be, amongst other things that I don't agree with….” “I just don't like the situation. I think we should be able to freely play where we want and have the choice to play where we want and not be dictated what we do. Especially myself. I can't speak for others; only myself.” “I've always committed to play the minimum requirement, and I think I've played four events, including the Spanish Open, every year except one as a pro, and I commit to do that. That's not going to change. I still fully intend to do that…. “So I don't like the situation and I'm not going to agree to that. Now, I did tell them, funny enough, lower that to four events, like the minimum says, and I'll sign tonight. They haven't agreed to that. I just refuse to play six events. I don't want to, and that's not what the rules say.” (🎥 via LIV Golf)

Justin Thomas is playing the Charles Schwab Challenge this week for the first time in 4 years. Ahead of the event, he said he builds his schedule around what best prepares him for the majors and it may change year to year: “Everybody's different. I would say the most, the first and foremost, most important thing that a lot of the top guys, a lot of, anybody that's in the majors, you're going to at least I would think, is what's going to prepare me the best for the major. So like I've had success in majors when I play the week before. “But playing San Antonio the week before the Masters for me doesn't feel like that's getting me prepared as much as possible for the Masters. Therefore, I don't play San Antonio. I had a year where the PGA, when it was at Southern Hills I wanted to play the week before Byron Nelson, it's easy travel, and I played the week before. So it's very situational of when you play, don't play in that regard. “But I mean I really, really, really try with all my might to not do four in a row, four in a row is like I'm not fun to be around. It's very taxing. So I try to cap it at three. “And, yeah, there's a lot of great tournaments, we're very fortunate to have to miss some great events, but you have to at some point. So just kind of start with the majors and fill it in here and there, I guess.” Justin is coming off the back of a final round 65 to finish T4 at the PGA Championship, his best of the season so far, and will be looking to continue that form and contend for his first win at Colonial Country Club. Onchain Fantasy Football is the single most important way to onboard the masses and it makes playing the game 1000 times better. And my company/product is the answer I created my company SBS in 2021 with my brother Richard Vagner. We created this company because we ourselves were looking for a fantasy football product that was onchain to play on. We couldn’t really find anything so we decided to build it ourselves. Been playing fantasy football for over 20 years and we are both addict fans of it. We knew that with fantasy football blowing up exponentially and that web3 was going to do the same. The two were a perfect marriage, fantasy was meant to be onchain. The fact that you can buy/sell teams once they’re drafted and throughout the season is huge. The fact that the prize pool can 2x 3x 4x because it’s tied to crypto is huge. Since creating our company in 2021 we have given millions in prizes out. 3 years ago we created the first and only onchain fantasy football drafting platform Justin Herzig, the best ball goat, joined as an advisor in our company Opensea wrote an article on us and will be live streaming our draft this coming week. We’ve had massive growth year to year with our Onchain Fantasy Football Best Ball Contest. Last year we did 500 Drafts total. This year we’re on track to more than double in drafts completed. 28 ETH ($131,000) Prize Pool & growing 8.139 ETH ($39,000) 1st Place Ok now, why is our contest/product the best in web3 and how does it all work? We created a helpful video that dives into everything you need to know to win massive prizes.

Nate Duncan: "A lot of people are saying the [player's] union got their asses kicked in the negotiation in 2023 and that's ridiculous. They got more money for all the players! Every player would rather have more money [in exchange for] maybe two or three teams a year having one fewer player." Full quote: "A lot of people are saying all the union like got their ass kicked to the negotiations in 2023 and that's ridiculous. They got more money for all the players! Who cares overall? Every player would rather have more money just because maybe two or three teams a year at most are going to have one fewer player than they would have before. But everyone is getting paid more. Getting the salary floor was massive for them. To actually have the salary floor mean something as opposed to just, oh, you had to get to the salary floor by the end of the year. Now you have to get to the salary floor at the beginning of the year. They won a lot of stuff in that negotiation. And I really, I feel bad for the for the people who negotiated because I thought they did a good job at the time. I think what's happened since that is actually proven they've done a good job and the owners love it when oh yeah, you can just say "it's all the second apron." No, it's actually just the owners don't want to pay that money. That's really the biggest thing. The Boston Celtics are not close to the second apron at all that they to say that that's why they traded Jaylen Brown. You could say maybe that that's why Jaylen Brown didn't have as much of a market, but the Boston Celtics didn't trade Jaylen Brown because they're afraid of the 2nd apron. They maybe they got two first round picks instead of three because of the second eight because other teams didn't want to pay them either. But yeah, I find again all of this stuff to be pretty just misfocused." Via Nate Duncan Video via:

hi! we just launched SF + LA Tech Week and it’s crazy to say (I know I say this every time) but it really is true - it’s the biggest one yet. we’ve broken more records and now have 1,500+ events, over 2x last year’s launch! SF Tech Week: Oct 6-12 LA Tech Week: Oct 13-19 Register for events here: SF is on fire, on track to be home to the biggest Tech Week. When we first started Tech Week, it was right after COVID, and we saw so many founders relocating outside the Bay Area to cities all over the US. That first year, SF Tech Week was actually the smallest. This year, it’s set to be the largest. We’ve doubled the number of SF events at launch year over year, a clear signal showing just how much the AI wave is fueling the city’s growth. And this is shaping up to be *the* week for tech in the city. LA was home to the very first Tech Week, and it’s special for me to see how much it’s grown. What makes LA unique is the mix of industries here. We’re seeing two in particular take off - AI in entertainment and deep tech. The best part is how the ecosystem really comes together around Tech Week to champion the city, with so many LA investors and GPs hosting. One of the biggest pieces of feedback we’ve heard from attendees is that now that Tech Week has gotten so big, we need more ways to discover events most relevant to you. So, this year we’ve put together curated tracks: future of work in SF, entertainment in LA, investor-focused events, hard tech, fintech, hackathons, and more.
