I didn't grow up with Dale so I've always been a bit confused as to why is he praised so much? The guy seemed to drive like an asshole and every time he is mentioned on Dale jr's podcast the guy seemed to be a really shitty father as well?

Terry got wrecked because he used Dale up coming to the white.

Naw he was just the best and didnt take shot from anyone. These new drivers would be protesting him every race if he were here today. They couldn't handle the intimidator.

He was dirty as hell and overrated. More image and PR creation than anything. Shame too because he was talented - just not at the level he’s hyped to be.

He was extremely polarizing because of actions just like this. Most fans of other drivers hated him. But his skill was undeniable.

Earnhardt wrecked him but Labonte blew the corner. Earnhardt should’ve never gotten to him in turn 2. It’s not like he drove hard into turn one to dump him. Can’t figure out why nobody ever mentions that.

When I heard the cascade of Boo's while he was in victory lane, all I could say is....."We're back!" I was elated. Finally "one tough customer" reared his head again. This was the Earnhardt, who made his name in the Wrangler Chevrolet!

He wasn’t a racecar driver, he was more of a tank driver, he hit everything in his way! Never liked him!

What separates him from the drivers like Logano, Hamlin, and Hocevar today is everything he did was calculated had a point to it he meant everything he did and he’d wear it on his chest he wouldn’t jeopardize himself and he was sure to have everyone know he didn’t give two shits

Dale runs Terry onto the apron. Terry taps him, then tried to use Dale up off of turn 4. Terry didn’t get away soon enough. Dale runs him over coming off of turn 2. Both had 2 swings on each other. Dale’s last swing just so happens to be the KO blow. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hot August Nights - toughest ticket to get in the 1990s. The 5 and and 3 already had a history with this race circa 1995. In 1999 the 3 coming back from some lean years and jokingly be referred to as the "man in BACK". No social media and less exposure = legends being made.
