How little Mario became Super Mario 🐶🥰 When I got the call about a little dog who’d been beaten up I dreaded seeing him but nothing prepared me for how small he was. The wonderful caring locals had tried to patch him up with a wooden splint and some DIY medicine because they simply didn’t have any money to fix him. We later established he’d been beaten up from cctv footage (more on that soon hopefully). Driving home on the bike from the vets I called him Mario because I vowed one day we’d be able to call him Super Mario. That day was a long way off as his little leg was hanging off and he was black and blue and generally in agony. After a 2 week hospital trip to the mainland little Mario started to heal up. He had several complications given the seriousness of his injuries and some big bills but he came back like a new dog. He’ll heal up just lovely and the best part is the beating doesn’t seem to have affected him mentally. He’s a jolly and friendly little boy. Next up for Mario is a month of healing and then a forever home. We agreed with the locals that they would prefer to see him safe and sound and away from the person who did this. Today he does indeed have his full name… Super Mario. He says he has no anger in him and he’s just focusing on the only thing he knows how to do which is being a very good boy.

From an early age, he showed a remarkable talent for music. He would go on to become a priest, a composer, and one of the greatest collectors and preservers of Armenian folk music. He traveled across villages, listening to the songs of the people, writing them down, and arranging them so that they would never be lost. His work gave Armenia its musical soul and identity.
