Meanwhile, they fail to mention that crimes can occur in America or in their home country before illegally crossing the border. Either way, entering illegally without asylum or other government allowance is a crime sufficient for deportation.

Tens of millions of people, citizens of foreign nations, are in our country illegally. ICE employs over 20,000 officers & agents to remove these people, in accordance with our laws. These officers & agents are operating all over the country, at all times. Over 2000 people that are in our country without legal status are apprehended each month in San Diego County alone. So, obviously there are going to be incidents. Especially when people like Pretti & Good are aggressively obstructing the operations. There are tens of millions of people that are removable— by law. Most don’t want to leave, so there are going to be scenarios in which ICE officers respond to aggression with force. When that force crosses a line, and becomes unlawful, the officer(s) involved should be held accountable for it. Again, these operations are going on everywhere, all the time, so there are going to be mistakes. And yes, there are even going to be unqualified people that make their way into immigration enforcement, just like unqualified people make their way into every government agency. Just like unqualified people make their way into other levels of law enforcement, education, finance, or any other profession. If ICE is a rogue agency, as the disingenuous narrative claims, so is everything else. Of course progressives are going to seize on the mistakes, and incessantly hyperventilate about them like it’s the worst thing ever, all I’m an effort to undermine the operations— b/c that’s what progressives do. It doesn’t mean we stop the operations. It doesn’t mean we stop removing the people that aren’t here lawfully.
