Mannnnnnnnnn my mom had some kind of canned fish that expired in 99' and the can leaked. Worst smell imaginable. I threw everything in that cabinet away, good date or bad date. Almost had to throw the cabinet away too

The expiration dates on sealed containers is mostly BS. I've eaten some things that were expired more than 2 years and was fine. Milk, cheese, and meat... those numbers are mostly for real though.
