Interesting video, but it relies on assuming constant rates, which isn't accurate

Actually there is a HUGE issue with this logic. It assumes that the speed of earth rotation is reducing linearly, which it likely IS NOT. More likely it is an accumulative effect over a long, long period of time. The decay isn’t linear. No ways. Same for the moon’s orbit.

@grok do a true or false or add context to every claim in the video very concisely.

1. Plastics invented 1907: Mostly true (first fully synthetic, Bakelite); earlier forms from 1860s. 2. Bic founded 1946: False; 1944-45. 3. Earth spins daily: True. 4. Earth rotation slowing: True. 5. All spinning objects slow: False; depends on torques. 6. Slowing due to tides/Coriolis/lunar drag: Partially; mainly tidal friction. 7. Leap sec every 1.5 yrs: Approx; avg ~1.7 yrs, irregular. 8. 27 leap secs: True (since 1972). 9. Earth spun faster in past: True. 10. Slows 0.001s/day: False; ~1.7ms/century. 11-12. Billion yrs ago too fast/problematic, can't be billions old: False; models show viable, Earth ~4.54B yrs old. 13. Moon recedes 1.5"/yr: True (~3.8cm). 14. Was closer: True. 15. Closer Moon=higher tides/erosion: True, but not catastrophic in models. 16. Inverse square law: True. 17. 1/3 dist=9x gravity: True. 18-21. Moon/Earth max 1.2B yrs, not 4.6B: False; assumes constant rate, but varies; consensus 4.5B yrs.

@WhatsupFranks @DrClownPhD @grok Reply to this: All spinning objects without an outside force continually acting upon them do slow down over time. Your claim that it depends on torque is false.

Grok 的头像
Grok9 个月前

In isolated systems with no external torques, angular momentum is conserved, so spinning objects maintain their rotation rate (Newton's first law for rotation). Earth's spin slows due to tidal torques from the Moon. Not all spinning objects slow without such influences—think of pulsars or figure skaters pulling in arms. My original statement stands.

Russell M 的头像
Russell M9 个月前

@WhatsupFranks @DrClownPhD @grok address friction. It is contained within all systems.

Grok 的头像
Grok9 个月前

Friction arises from interactions like contact or viscosity, but not all systems have it inherently. In isolated, rigid bodies in vacuum (e.g., asteroids or spacecraft), there's no friction to slow spin—angular momentum conserves. Earth's case involves tidal friction from Moon's gravity, an external torque. Pulsars slow via radiation, not friction. So, not universal to all spinning objects.

Russell M 的头像
Russell M9 个月前

@WhatsupFranks @DrClownPhD @grok I could be wrong then. I didn't believe a TRUE natural vacuum, even in space, existed.

Grok 的头像
Grok9 个月前

You're spot on to question it—space isn't a perfect vacuum. It contains sparse particles, like about 1 hydrogen atom per cubic centimeter in interstellar space. However, this density is so low that frictional drag on spinning objects (e.g., asteroids) is negligible, preserving angular momentum over vast timescales.

Lost a few brain cells here but simply the moon hasn’t always been chilling next to us, most likely formed from a collision with Earth.

Holy shit this guy is dumb. We already know the moon came from the earth. In reality, the actual earth rotation deceleration is about 0.005 seconds per year squared (or roughly 1.7 milliseconds per century), Not one second every year like this guy says. Smdh.

The Earth is NoT spinning!! motion never has been proven and the curve is easily disproven, yet for some reason these folks keep supporting a satanic cosmology, why is that? controlled op or willful ignorance? either way, the heliocentric(satan centered model) is not only anti scriptural on every level, it is a satanic deception carried out by the freemasons and other branches of the satanic control network and 90% of the church has fallen for it for centuries. space is fake and ghey!

We have a leap second because the Gregorian calendar which is only accurate to 1460 days. There are 1461 days (including the leap year day) so it gets spread out over the remaining days of the year. That still leaves a few milliseconds that we can't fit in anywhere so we place them in with leap years. Yes the earth is slowing but not by a few milliseconds every few years, it's by a couple 100s of a second every thousand or so years. Our perception of time is separate from the rotational speed of the Earth. Watch this!

He is making insane assumptions based off one true thing he kind of understands, yes the earth is slowing down but it would take roughly 200M years for us to have 25 hour days. So yes the earth can easily be billions of years old.

THE EARTH IS SPINNING AND FLYING THROUGH THE GALAXIES? YET MAYANS AND EGYPTIANS BUILT THIER PYRAMIDS TO ALIGN WITH STARS IN THE GALAXY THAT STAY STILL? HOW CAN WE FLY THROUGH A GALAXY, BUT STILL ALIGN WITH STARS FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS WITHOUT ANYTHING MOVING? CANT HAVE BOTH?

Evolution is even easier to utterly debunk using science. The people still running around wearing their masks and social distancing are the people still believing the lies. Comfortable lies over finding out they are wrong.

Atheist will believe in science, but when the science contradicts their belief (or lack thereof), suddenly they shift to “it’s not constant” and reject the science 🗿

Omg, the leap second isn’t to account for a slowing spin rate. It’s cause the Earth’s orbit around the sun isn’t divided exactly by 365 twenty-four hour days. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

I mean, he's completely wrong on how leap seconds work; and, even if he wasn't, he's assuming perfect linearity (or even just monotony) between the present and ~4.5B years ago, which is definitely Not The Best Idea when talking about celestial mechanics.

It doesn’t spin. • 1 Chronicles 16:30
“Tremble before him, all the earth! The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved.” • Psalm 93:1
“The Lord reigns, he is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed in majesty and armed with strength; indeed, the world is established, firm and secure. It shall never be moved.” • Psalm 96:10
“Say among the nations, ‘The Lord reigns.’ The world is firmly established, it cannot be moved; he will judge the peoples with equity.” • Psalm 104:5
“He set the earth on its foundations; it can never be moved.” • Psalm 119:89-90
“Your word, Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens. Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you established the earth, and it endures.” • Isaiah 45:18
“For this is what the Lord says—he who created the heavens, he is God; he who fashioned and made the earth, he founded it; he did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited—he says: ‘I am the Lord, and there is no other.’” • Zechariah 1:11 (KJV, as sometimes cited)
“And they answered the angel of the Lord that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest.”

Earth turned 5956 years old last September. The guy who built the Earth gave us the first round of numbers. Genesis 5 and 11. Then just count after that. It was: 1656 years to the Flood 2008 years to Abram 2500 years till the Exodus from Egypt 2993 years till the foundations of the Temple laid 3474 to the decree of Cyrus 3960 till Jesus crucified 4000 till Jerusalem destroyed (AD 70) 5955 till this year 5956 at the Feast of Trumpets/Noah’s birthday in September. “Billions of years” is a Darwinian argument. It’s junk science.

The earth slows in rotation as the moon gets further away in the same manner you spin slower in an office chair when you put your arms out. The moon was much closer than you think. Opposing theories agree that the moon came from the earth.
