Dan Orlovsky: "That's just not offensive pass interference." ESPN rules analyst Mike Chase: "He shoves him out of the play to begin with. That's why he's so wide open." Chris Fowler: "So you support the call?" Chase: "I do. I do." 🏈🦓🎙️ #NFL

Rule analyst's are grifters, they always take the refs side. Spineless

@deptulahasrage The ball was not in the air at time of contact. Not OPI by a mile. Refs sold. Receiver has right to get off a jam within 5 yards. Terrible call in the midst of about 3 other hideous calls.

The DB is allowed to press the WR within 5 yards and the WR is allowed to disengage him. Was McMillan supposed to tickle him to get free?

Chase is spot on. Initial contact dictates everything downstream.

Is this the same guy who blamed the DB for the TE tripping over his own feet?

Spineless stuff from the @NFL You can’t commit OPI within 5 yards of the LOS….this is ridiculous.

“Rules analyst” but is objectively wrong.

Bro look at when he threw the flag vs when the “penalty” occurs. Obvious rig job just too make Falcons v Saints mean something man 🤦🏾‍♂️

It’s 3 yards from the line of scrimmage and the balls not in the air. If you’re within 5 yards of the line you can push and shove all you want if the balls not in the air.

@Keep_Pounding Thankful for @danorlovsky7 speaking up about the terrible calls in this game.

These ‘ref’ analysts (usually former refs) ALWAYS backing the officials tells you why the leagues officiating never improves. No accountability no self-reflection

Every rules analyst, outside of Mike P from Fox, are overly opinionated and stick with calls on the field 95% of the time. They act like they are the game.

If only folks would look up the rules before commenting. SMH!!!

How is it pass interference when the ball isn't even in the air yet? Seemed like incidental contact coming out of press coverage with the defender taking a bad angle. Defensive holding or illegal contact, AT WORST (for Carolina). Pass interference? Nah.

@Keep_Pounding Mike Chase can eat a fucking dick in his ass.

It was within 5 yards. Why can defense shove a guy like that within 5 yards before the ball is in the air and offense can’t?

If the DB jams up the WR in the first 5 yards the WR gets told to work on his release. This was a great release. They call it the sit down little boy release!

I'm just sick of late flags. How are they allowed to wait till the play is over then decide if they should throw the flag? If there's a penalty, throw the flag when it happens.

Get rid of the rules analysts. They are former refs, we should not respect them

You can replace “rules analyst” with an AI who always finds a way to agree with the refs.

The refs in this game were horrible and clearly Buc heavy, and the rules analyst for @espn was God Awful

That flag came out really late—after the catch.

Orlovsky was correct. WR has right to get off the jam. Ball wasn’t thrown yet. Not OPI

Rules analysts always side with the refs. Worthless commentary tbh that adds nothing.

Chase is a sellout. He’ll say whatever the league wants him to say

Unbiased, that’s not pass interference. The foul is meant to eliminate contact that hinders opposing players from making a play at the ball. The ball is first not in the air, the contact is warranted for him to run his route as they’re fighting for leverage & the DB just loses.

It’s within 5 yards and the ball isn’t even close to being in the air sooooooooooooooo 🤷‍♂️

Yall can call out the “rules analyst” all you want, but at the very least people need to understand that OPI doesn’t have the same rules as DPI OPI starts from the line of scrimmage, only the defense has the 5 yard leeway

Orlovsky was annoying all game long. Kept whining (literally, whining) about correct calls only for the rules analyst to repeatedly have to correct him. Made the game a chore to listen to.

If this was legal why wouldn’t every WR do it on every play and easily get wide open?
