Thats NOT the right call. Take the points. On the road. You get the ball at half and could have taken the lead then. You had your chances and they didnt work and should have went into the half with momentum.

Agree. Why was wasn’t he in shotgun though / quick passes? That situation called for 3 quick passes or throw aways and saving time for a 4th down FG if needed. Not letting routes develop.
He had the ball to start the 3rd quarter. The way the offense was moving you gotta kick it, give Stevens more juice for making the kick into the half, then redo the drive again in the second half and try to score a TD there to take the lead. Well... he's wrong. And should be fired.
No accountability. It was absolutely not the right call regardless of the injury. You don't gamble with momentum. You had all the momentum going into half with 3 there. Taking a gamble to go for 7 and come away with 0 completely shifts the momentum to the other team at the half.
Going forward there needs to be a new head football coach in Washington next year🏉😎

3 seconds no time outs. More can go wrong than right. Injury aside all the momentum gone on that play. Kick the fg and get the ball to start the half.

I just strongly disagree with it being the right call. You’ve preached “protecting Jayden” all offseason; I understand it’s a fluke play, but how does creating an unnecessarily aggressive scenario when you can take what’s right in front of you (points AND ball in 3Q) protect him?

I don’t have a problem with the call to go for it. It’s so easy to criticize the play after the fact. If JD hadn’t gotten injured on a fluke play and we scored a TD - DQ would be praised for his ballsy coaching. It’s an unfortunate sequence of events. The team seems snake bitten.

Fireable answer. You take the points and momentum into the locker room and then get the ball coming out. Millions of dollars to make wrong decisions.
